It was one of the better Italian places especially in Kenwood on a Sunday nite was crowded..raining..people still coming it is newly opened so they are booked for the most part..we sat at the bar where kitchen is facing us..you can see how the sous chef and chef working in sync with each other and kitchen crew. The food was done right, tasty, different unique, one page menu where it can concentrate on the dishes iffered..service was good, good came out quickly..the only dish was this pasta pepper dish which needed some seasoning just but chewy hard like..just need some flavor to it would really make the whole meal to a good ending..overall I would go back to try other dishes..we had a total, did and one dessert and glass of wine about 175.00 for 3 ppl. Owner and chef were very nice ..it is a simple place with hoid food that is why they have great reviews and booked up. Usually I am critical of most places I try I never go back just me..since the place is small and compact if some patrons talk loud it is hardly to hear within your table..since tables inside is close to each othet..o wish some people do not act like they are the only people there talking loud... parking can be a bit hard but it is fine ..nice touch if it is your birthday..thru give you a scoop of ice cream , candle and cookie wafer

We came to Stella because we’re longtime fans of Glen Ellen Star, and when we heard they had just opened this new spot—with a mozzarella bar, no less—we were sold. A mozzarella bar?! Yes, please! From the moment we walked in, the vibe was warm and welcoming. Our server, Nick, was a total gem—so positive, always smiling, and clearly passionate about the food. He made our night even more enjoyable. We kicked things off with the basil, tomato, and mozzarella, which was as fresh and flavorful as you'd hope—simple ingredients, perfectly done. The halibut ceviche was light and zesty, and the strawberry tuna absolutely blew us away with its bold, creative flavors. Each dish brought something special to the table. For dessert, we had the Baked Gelaska, and wow—the marshmallow sorbet was out of this world! Such a fun and unexpected treat to end the meal. We had an amazing experience from start to finish and can't wait to come back. Stella is a delicious new gem in town, and we’re here for it!

This was our first visit to Stella! We were celebrating a birthday. There was a beautiful little place card that all of the staff signed wishing our friend a happy birthday! I will be dreaming about the food, it was incredible! We shared the pork chop. It was crisp with almost a piccata sauce. So delicious! I had the Cacio e pepe pasta. I fell in love with it in Rome last year and was so excited to see it on the menu! I loved it! We also had the roast chicken, the cream spinach and a Caesar salad. The cappuccino was beautiful and delicious and The birthday girl was surprised with a wonderful dessert. As incredible as the food was, our waitress Gina was even better! From start to finish she just spoiled us. Can't wait to return!

The S in Stella is for S Teir. Fresh house made pasta in Kenwood that's off the charts. Tremendous service and comfortable upscale dining.

My wife took me here for my birthday dinner and we got front row seats at the chef's table, really it's a bar with a glass barrier in front of the kitchen but we got to watch as they cooked and plated all the dishes going out. It was a lot of fun. We both love cooking and watching the Food Network and sitting there it felt like we were inside a show.

Our server was attentive and told us about the special eggplant dish that wasn't on the menu. We started with the peach cucumber salad and the Puglia imported buratta with bacon and sourdough toast. They were a great combination.

For our mains we got the tagliatelle with prosciutto and the rigatoni ragu with pork and beef. They were both delicious and we shared both dishes which worked out great. The butter sauce on the tagliatelle was luxuriously rich and a bite of the tomato sauce from the rigatoni ragu cut through that richness with fresh bright tomato acidity.

All the dishes on the dessert menu looked great and having the front row seat we got to see them all plated but we were both pretty full so we passed on dessert. Since it was my birthday they brought out a scoop of vanilla gelato with a crisp cookie and a birthday candle the gelato was great and really hit the spot.

Check out Stella if you're in the mood for some delicious Italian food with house made pasta. Kenwood is super cute and just a short drive from Santa Rosa so I'm sure we'll be back. Highly...

Stella in Kenwood is an absolute gem! I had the privilege of dining with them on their first night open and it was such a memorable, amazing experience. From the moment you step in, you’re welcomed with warm hospitality and a beautifully designed “open kitchen” layout that perfectly blends modern elegance with a relaxed Wine Country vibe.

The menu is a culinary masterpiece, featuring fresh, locally sourced ingredients and dishes that are as visually stunning as they are delicious. Every bite was a delight, but the standouts for me were the “Buratta & Bacon” and their “ Snake River Farms Bavette” was absolutely perfectly cooked and bursting with flavor. For dessert, the “Baked Gelaska” is the show stopper!! A must try! The wine selection is also top-notch, with incredible pairings that elevate the entire dining experience. I chose a cocktail that night and the “White Negroni” did not disappoint! If you like grapefruit, you will love this one.

Service was impeccable—attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about the food and wine they serve. Emiliano our server was such a delight. Their management team was top tier as well.. they were all so welcoming and attentive, spending time with each and every guest. Whether you’re a local or just visiting, I highly recommend stopping in.

Simply and Perfectly named “Stella” because they will be the new shining star of...
