Encore Coffee Cafe — Restaurant in St. James

I doubt I’ve had better coffee than this coffee shop. I’m dead serious. I live in Mpls and have traveled across the country - this place is a GEM. I’m not you’re average coffee drinker, I’ve grown up on homemade espresso drinks and my father roasts his own beans. I love the flavor of this coffee. The espresso was strong but but bitter, the almond milk the was steamed to perfection. I love the Victorian era bathroom and decor too - so novel. I've been going to this same place for over 6 years, and its is all SOOO good. It used to be an opera house so the decor is is amazing inside and out! The tables are always clean and food and coffee is always hot. So many different coffees, and the you cant go wrong with any of the sandwiches, but my favorite and suggestion to you is the Hermanwitch I had a couple of weekends ago. Legitimately one of the best iced coffees I’ve ever had, strong and not watered down. I got it with 1/2 vanilla flavor, my fiancé got no flavor. Both were excellent, mine just had a slight sweetness to it which I like. Appreciate the efforts the establishment is making to limit covid spread as well: employees wearing masks, hand sanitizer set out. If you’re in the area - which Id recommend as a nice quick stop 5 min off the highway with a cute main street - then don’t miss...
