I've lived in the Hill for about 3 years and love this place. My first time going I grabbed a sandwich, got some advice from the guy behind the counter about some local places to buy the best sandwich ingredients, and while I was outside eating the sandwich and watching some videos, he came outside, gave me a glass of water (totally unprompted), gave me a friendly pat on the shoulder, and told me "something to wash it down with, my friend". Went down the google list of bakeries in search of one who would be able and willing to sell me a 4 ft loaf of bread. John called me back promptly, and was patient, kind, and helpful throughout the entire process. Bread was delicious and made for the perfect sandwich. Made my whole house smelled like freshly baked bread whenever I opened it, which was delightful....

Walked in around lunch, picked out a sandwich and a slice of pistachio cake. My goodness the cake was sublime. Not too sweet, but light and the perfect for lunch.
