I went in the morning to get 2 trays of 8 zeppole to take home for my family. I explicitly asked the blonde lady who served the customers to only put the ones with pastry cream and not the ricotta cream ones. She started putting the zeppole in the boxes using only one glove and the other hand without, touching the pastries with her bare hand! I was already disgusted by this lack of attention to hygiene but I didn't want to create problems in front of the other customers. I paid, and went home, where opening the boxes I realized that the lady had put 4 zeppole with ricotta instead of pastry cream, which I absolutely hadn't asked for. I don't know what came to her mind or why she did it, it can't have been a mistake since I had recommended putting the ones with pastry cream and there were so many freshly baked ones on the rack next to her! It makes no sense! unless it was old stuff that she wanted to get rid of! I basically paid for something I didn't want and that nobody ate because they don't like ricotta! This kind of trickery only harms customers, who never come back! Really...
Read moreit's extremely rude to ignore a person who is ready to order, yet you take a person who walks in after me, in which I was waiting for over 3 minutes. WOW!! Such disrespect!!What's even worse is the fact that I was the only customer in there and there were three (3) female worker behind the counter too busy to have one say can i help you or just a minute. Has business gotten to be so successful you ignore the people who without you would be out of business? Will never go there again and want to make people aware that, you too may be ignored for someone else. After asking 5 times for help and being blatantly ignored (although the man who came in after me did hear me and looked at me giving me a "oops guilty" look as he is a regular and they stopped taking and immediately serviced him)!!! So a regular customer vs the was frequent but did give patronage, is more important and us others you treat rudely!!!! Disgusting. I walked out. SHAME ON YOU...
Read moreThe best bakery! I was first introduced to Beldotti's by a caterer that would use all of their bread, cakes and pastries. I was hooked! Before I lived in the Stamford area, I’d make the trip to come to Beldotti's Bakery as they are hands down the best. Everything they sell is made to perfection. I’ve tried many pastries and breads and nothing comes close to Beldotti’s! All of their breads are delicious and made in store.
I'm happy to say that I have become a regular and the Beldotti family has made me feel like family. All around great people and a great staff that I am glad to say I know. You can tell there is a dedicated following as I see many of the regulars come in to this wonderful Italian bakery!
You can get all your standard favorites like hard crust Italian bread, cannoli’s, sfogliatella etc. Do yourself a favor and try the Mille Feuille (Napoleon Pastry Sheets). The whipped cream is out of this world! Light and fluffy like its supposed...
