THE BEST POLISH DELI AROUND. Amazing food, amazing service and super helpful!!! (Under new ownership, so only consider reviews from 2024 and beyond!)
I am a Polish American and we try and keep some Polish traditions alive, like Wigilia. We also love fresh kielbasa and perogies year-round. Being originally from Yonkers, NY I grew up used to REAL Polish food from a REAL Polish Deli. And if you’ve only gotten your kielbasa and perogies from Stop and Shop, then you’ve never had REAL Polish perogies and kielbasa. Get them from here and you’ll know what I mean.
I do not speak polish. And I have tried may of the other Polish deli’s around. I always enter with a “dzień dobry” which is good afternoon in Polish, and 85% of my Polish vocabulary. For reasons I can not understand, once all these other delis learn you don’t speak Polish you immediately become a second class citizen, and there is no hope of getting any help or explanations on all the wonderful variety of foods available. But not at Warsaw Deli. The new owner, Jan, was incredibly helpful. He even took the time to explain a few traditions I wasn’t aware of.
Even if you aren’t Polish go here, and try something new. Just ask Jan...

Kielbasa sandwich best I ever had. They asked me what I wanted on it and I said, whatever you suggest and it was a m a z i n g.
I got some kielbasa to go and made another sandwich the next day. Kielbasa was fantastic, my sandwich making skills aren’t as good but the kielbasa still made it awesome.
Both sides of my family come from Poland I only wish I spoke the language. Luckily they worked with me and some younger employees helped as well.
I only wish I lived closer and spoke polish. Great job guys, I’ll be back whenever...
Read moreIf you have a long stop at Stamford Train Station, the only food you'll find at the building is a tiny Subway in the lower level. The 5 mins walk to this Deli is totally worth it. Just go to the southernmost platform, walk west all the way until crossing the pedestrian's bridge and then 2 blocks south. It's a East European mini market with a Sandwich counter. Sandwiches are amazing, way better than Subway (100x). And you can find stuff that's not common in your regular grocery store....
