TERRIBLE experience. My first experience with this hotel was 7hrs PRIOR to checking in. I was charged TWICE extra for a total of over $400 on top of my initial charge. I contacted the hotel via phone and was told the refund would not be issued for 5-6 days for THEIR mistake. The gentleman named Sharvesh then continued to tell me the card was entered twice which resulted in a double charge. If that were true then the amount would be the same BUT the two additional amounts I was charged was different which means the info was entered wrong not once but twice and no one wants to own up to their mistake. When I arrived to the hotel I expressed how much of an inconvenience this has caused me to have already had been out an extra $400 before my trip began , the hotel staff did not accommodate me nor make right by their mistake. They all looked like a dear caught in headlights. Very rude and very inconvenient. The room was pleasant but was lacking mirrors and most importantly a closet ....it did not have a closet. The next day I went down to get breakfast which was expensive, terrible and cold. After all the bad experiences I have dealt with , my significant other (who’s name was not affiliated with the room or billing ) decided to write an honest review of how much of a horrible experience this has been. Not shortly after when we had fallen back asleep, I received a call on the hotel phone at 8AM that woke me . On the other line was the hotel desk telling me “we need to talk about a review that was just posted “. I was so disgusted and taken back by the unprofessionalism that I simply told the gentleman, “you woke me from my sleep and are threatening me, I am hanging up” . The amount of unprofessionalism and inexperience that is under one roof is astonishing. I have never had such a uncomfortable and unpleasant experience then at the Lloyd hotel at Stamford CT. Shame on the staff for their lack of concern and empathy with the mistake they have made and the trip they had ruined . My suggestion to the front desk staff is to find a new career while they are still young cause clearly this is not working out for them . Not only have they lost two guest , they have lost 20+ guest that I know who visit the area Atleast twice a month . terrible hotel . Do...

The last time I lived in Stamford, this building was the Boys & Girls Club, so walking in and seeing how much it’s transformed was truly a wow moment. So much has changed, and in the best way possible. The hotel is absolutely beautiful—trendy, inviting, and incredibly comfortable from the moment you step in.
I had a wonderful experience and am especially grateful to Kenya for being so kind and accommodating with an early check-in, which made a big difference after my flight.
The rooms are very modern, cozy, and thoughtfully designed. While there isn’t closet space, they do provide plenty of hooks with hangers, which worked well for a short stay. I do wish they had an iron (they only had a steamer), as I personally prefer ironing—but that’s a small detail in the big picture.
Because our trip was short, we didn’t get a chance to try all of the amenities like the gym or the bar, but the overall vibe, service, and comfort of The Lloyd definitely left a great impression. The staff was very attentive and helpful, and everything felt clean, safe, and well-managed.
I’d absolutely stay here again and recommend it to anyone visiting Stamford looking for a stylish, comfortable, and convenient...
Read moreThis stay was just.. not worth the money. Room was nice enough, “trendy” but nothing special. Clean, though could never get a comfortable temperature. One degree up or down you were either sweltering or freezing. You had to pay for Wi-Fi which honestly is not really acceptable in 2022. That’s a basic accommodation, not a luxury. The bar was not open. Breakfast not included, which fine but they also would not do room service even though their site and menus say they do. They said it was because of covid but then said they would bring coffee to your room? Didn’t make any sense. Between this and the bar being closed these are things you should mention on your site so people are aware before booking and thinking they’re paying for something they’re not going to get. You also had to pay for parking (which was new to me, I’ve never had to pay additional to park at a hotel I’d paid to stay at) and it was THIRTY dollars a day. I could understand ten or so if anything but thirty is just ridiculous. It was also completely full by 3pm which was the earliest you could check in, and the woman at the front desk was rude/condescending when I had questions about It/other options. Completely underwhelmed by our stay here. You’re really just paying for a room, not a stay. Thankfully it was just for one night or we would have probably ended up staying...
