Went last night for the first time after living in stanley for almost 5 years. I was excited for it. Showed up 20+ minutes before they opened at 5pm, there was 5 of us. Got through the line in the hallway, was seated around 5:20. Got drinks and an appetizer which came out quickly. Our tables order was put in by 5:35. Had some salads, and waited. The waitress came by one time to fill up drinks and spilled tea on the table, before 6pm. By 630 the couple that was in line infront of us were walking out the door ate and bill paid, a group of 11 that was seated after us had their order and were eating and the 2 tables infront of us and behind us were leaving after their meals. The bus boy didn't even want want to take the salad plates from us. So after arriving prior to opening and waiting forever. We left. It would have been different had the waitress came by and let us know they were so backed up and brought extra salad plates. Some kind of communication at all. We weren't sure if they lost our order, forgot us or if we were ever going to get it. It was dad's birthday and that's where he wanted to go. Now this aint a hit towards the staff as a whole, the waitress at the table over had been with them every 10 minutes or less to check them and other staff checking on their tables. People were getting served. so as an operation I'm sure it works, perhaps we just got the short end of the stick last night, but left hungry and disappointed.
As for the star review the salad was great but wish we had gotten our food.
Our service could have been strides better.
The atmosphere the light fixtures were low and someone at our table hit their head on it and so did someone at the table next to us as they were leaving. The bathroom stalls...
Read moreThis is more of a warning. Drove out to try this restaurant after stumbling upon it and looking forward to eating there two weeks ago. Now, what follows can be incendiary to some but please take a moment to realize I am not condemning, simply bringing this issue to light for the others that share my concerns. Almost none of the patrons were wearing masks, I understand this is an unenforceable "mandatory" order and that whilst eating you do not need to wear it but I saw none of the customers wearing them anywhere. Not outside while waiting, not in the very crowded waiting area, NOWHERE. Also, if you order/want a salad, the menu states that the kitchen will make it for you during this pandemic. Well, no one bothered to inform the staff because when we requested this they looked very confused, had to be shown where on the menu it was stated and then tried to get us to still use the salad bar. The salad bar did not have any additional safety measures, no one was controlling the amount of people at one time so everyone that was getting salad were, at best, 6 inches from eachother, using their bare hands to touch everything. Also, while the staff did all have masks on, majority had them hanging off of their ear, covering only their nose or pulled down to around their chin because, "I just can't talk with this thing on", which on top of everything else, was extremely disconcerting. I know that wearing masks is a touchy subject with those that feel they are absolutely needed and others that think this entire thing is just a government hoax. This post is for those that are taking this more seriously and would prefer to take extra measures to stay safe like my family is to avoid places like this until this...
Read moreThis restaurant is like something off an old episode of Kitchen Nightmares. I went with a group of family for a birthday so I was able to taste and see a handful of dishes on my first trip. Many items on their menu are clearly frozen and reheated such as the fries and chicken tenders. This wouldn't be an issue if the restaurants price point reflected that. The prices are creeping up towards places like Ruth's Chris.
Their claim to fame dish is their prime rib, which I have to say is the worst steak I've ever had in my life. The meat was so salty my lips immediately began to feel cracked. The outside of the steak is coated in a crispy pepper that is just unbearable to eat. The meat itself smelled like it had gone off the day before and the taste was more like salted ham than steak. I did send the steak back but I didn't ask for another entree to replace it. I was charged 12$ for just the salad bar that comes with the entree. The salad bar is like a lunchable version of a salad bar. Iceberg lettuce and a couple items to top it. It's self serve and is about what you'd expect out of a gas station salad.
The service was ok as the staff were nice enough but rarely checked on us in a mostly empty room.
The environment was quite strange. Graffiti lined the stall of the restroom as two urinals sit in the middle of the room undivided. Much like a gas station restroom in a sleepy rural town. The eating area is lined with outdoor lattice for some reason and overall vibe of the dining area is 1982.
In summary, this is probably the worst restaurant I've ever been to when considering the cost to eat here. It is not worth a try as you will spend upwards of 50$ per person when...
