China Garden — Restaurant in Stanley

Buyer beware if it's a holiday they do not honor the lunch specials per the new lady with the short hair!! I ordered my normal 2 plates but had to get dinner combo/prices ok that's fine...I get home one of the plates is not what I ordered at all I would NEVER order that plate at all.. due to work schedules today was the first time I have been back I let the lady with the short hair know I received the wrong plate she told the other lady maybe the owner in Chinese what happened and the lady started yelling and I was told the food has to be brought back same day to do anything about it. While all this was going on the lady with the short hair is laughing in my face... very poor customer service. I have had the same order for 2 years i do not ever change my order. But they do have the BEST Chinese food from gastonia to lincolnton!! They will always be my favorite...

Very unfriendly. They act like they can't even speak to you when you come in there. I ordered $27 worth of food, came back when it was ready, I took about $2 and change out of my pocket and I put it in the tip jar. The lady was standing behind the counter and watch me do this. I didn't realize that I forgot to get some drinks and I grabbed three drinks which I thought was supposed to come with the meals. She run me up for$4. I was like I thought you got a drink with your mealshe started yelling at me saying that's when you buy the large that's when you buy the large!! I put them back in there. Left and said I would never be back. These people are ungrateful as ever. Do not shop here. The food was cold anyways and tasted stale. I'll go across the street from here on out. Or I'll go to Pete's grill.

I really love Chinese food, but when it comes to customer's service, it is one of the most important factors I look at for my reviews. The food can be extremely delicious, but when I am attended by someone who can't wait for the shift to be over to go home, and get easily irritated with an attitude, my desires to come back to the restaurant are diminished. Today, I walked into this restaurant and noticed that the attendant was taking my order with an angry attitude. I'll give her the benefit of the doubt for the reason she was upset but was a bad feeling. She wasn't friendly at all. Other than that, food was delicious.
