Travel from another city and county, just to shop here. Love the atmosphere and shopping experience at one time. Plus the daytime manager and Co worker was so good to me and my handicapped child. I'll not come back here every again. This older aged female that was checking me out, as soon as she seen my child, her behavior changed, the way so handled my items and the communication was none. While she checked my items out, the evening manager begin to laugh at how she was handling my items, which was of fast paced and just about dropped a bag or few on purpose. I had can drinks and water in and under the cart, I began to put the can drinks on the belt, she said no don't put them up here, I left the cans that I had put up there on the belt, she said to leave the water on the cart too. Me thinking she'd come out behind the belt to scan the items. No after she scanned all items, she said now you can put the can drinks and water up here for me to scan. By this time I began to get upset with her, to where I was about to leave everything. I put the can drinks up on the belt and told her to forget the water and I pushed the cart away. The manager in the meantime was saying she needed to show her something. I ask the manager could she get me another cart to start putting items in, she looked at me and said, yes you can get one, there right out there, I said, no can you get me one, I can't leave my son to get the cart. Cause he's handicap and in a stroller. You could tell she didn't want to help at all, plus both of them had such a street rude attitude. Which made me get one too. Thanks...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreFairly expensive even with the MVP card deals, but being the only grocery store less than 20 minutes away, Iām thankful customer service is friendly and the store is always clean.
However, it is an absolute nightmare trying to use WIC here. Common items like yogurt or soy milk are out of stock as soon as benefits are dispersed.
The biggest issue is that they have inconsistencies with what items are approved or not approved by WIC. The only items that are approved by WIC according to the storeās inventory have WIC signs on all of the shelf labels, which should make it easy, but for example: I am approved for the 48 oz bottle of juice, the store only recognizes 64 oz bottles as approved for WIC according to the shelf label. So I cannot use WIC at checkout for a 48 oz bottle because the store does not recognize that amount as approved by WIC, and I cannot use WIC for the 64 oz bottle that is recognized by the store because itās not approved through my WIC.
This is the same issue with many cereal brands, bread brands, amounts of cheeses, etc. I never have this issue at any other stores except...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreStanley Food Lion is absolutely ridiculous. Iām 24 with a valid ID and tried to buy alcohol. They refused because my 20-year-old sister-in-law, who doesnāt even drink, was with me. I was completely upfront with them ā told them sheās underage and Iām not stupid enough to buy her alcohol in front of witnesses, or anyone for that matter.
So I came back by myself thinking it would be no problem⦠and they STILL refused to sell to me. Meanwhile, the manager is camped out in the office glued to the security cameras like itās his personal Netflix. Creepy, unprofessional, and just weird.
Iāll happily take my business somewhere else. Do better, Food...
