Update: Came here again with my family and ordered the patty melt and onion rings. The burger itself was dry and unseasoned. It was also lacking in toppings. Pretty much ZERO caramelized onion which is part of the flavor of the whole sandwich. Onion rings only got 3 jumbo rings and it was enough. Delicious onion rings. Service was extremely slow and it took forever for our server to take our order. We did get the extras we asked for so that was good. My honest opinion...not worth the money I paid and I don't feel the need to go back. There's better places to eat in town. It's too bad because when they first opened they were fantastic. Service and food seems to have gone downhill. It was also very hot in the restaurant. Zero air flow. They may have been short staffed. Considering it's Friday when this review is updated that can't be good.
My husband and I ordered take out from here. Placed an order online and he picked it up on the way home from work. His patty melt was really good and hot. I ordered a turkey burger and it was really dry and over cooked. The lettuce was only 1 small piece of greenish brown and not fresh. The bun seemed a little hard to eat through. There was also no cheese on it and the crispy onion things tasted stale. I had to add my own cheese. The fries were definitely not fresh. I was on the phone with my husband when he walked in to pick up the food. I heard him say "hi I'm picking up an order for says my full name and then he told me "ok, she seems to be in a bad mood." I was told later that this girls response to him was "Huh. Whatever." She then turned away to get our food. He said he thought she looked like a 18 or 19 year old kid. We've eaten here a few times before and this is the first time the quality of food and customer service has come into question. For $30 something we expected better quality food and better service. we don't live that far away so the distance of the drive was definitely not the reason half the food was...
Read moreMy family and I went to give this place a try because my daughter had heard good things about it. We were greeted promptly and ask if we'd like to sit upstairs or downstairs. We chose upstairs away from the bar scene. The server was friendly and did a good job throughout the entire meal and the food was pretty good which is why it got 3 stars. Now, we ordered the cheese curd appetizer and it was good maybe a little overcooked, but for $7 you'd think you'd get more then 10 pieces. The burgers arrived and were cooked correctly (part of the 3 stars), but pretty small in size compared to other similar priced/style restaurants. The he fries were a disappointment from the get go! They weren't completely cold, but definitely weren't hot like they were fresh. The size of these fries was pathetic! It came out on the giant tray with the burger in a little cardboard container like a small you'd get at a high school football game concession stand. We ask the server about it and he said there was a new cook in the kitchen that didn't know serving sizes yet and he'd go get us the correct size fries for our meal. So upon his return he brought a tray with 2 of the same small cardboard trays on it and placed it on our table. To me that made it look like that's the actual size they're supposed to be giving and he just made up the story about the new cook... Let me remind you he brought 2 small baskets of fries to fix the issue when there's 5 people all eating $13+ burgers! I've personally been to this place before and know they used to give you more fries and better quality for your money, but this time it was a disappointment. For that kind of money you should get better quality and quantity of food in my opinion. Basically we could've went to McDonald's and gotten the same quality and quantity for a lot less than $80!.....
Read moreI just want to put Broad Street Burger Co. on blast for their servers attitude against their PAYING CUSTOMERS who come in at least once a week to this restaurant. We were told by one their employees about two months go that we could not order take out and eat in the restaurant, that was fine but when I called to order today, I asked the hostess who answered the phone if we could order ahead and eat there, she asked her manager and came back and told me that we could order to go and if there wasn’t a place to sit outside we could sit inside at the bar. When my coworkers and I arrived, there were no tables available outside nor were there any available bar seats, so we asked the kind hostess if we could sit at a table inside, she went to ask her manager again and came back and told us that it was fine. We sat down, opened our containers and did not have plasticware and asked one of the servers passing us if we could get some, she replied very rudely that she told us before that we could not order to go and sit inside and that she would have to charge us for the containers. When myself and my coworker told her that we had asked TWICE if it was ok to sit inside and that the manager said yes, she still kept telling us that she would have to charge us because she told us we couldn’t do that before. The cost was a random $2 per person, so it was $6 that my coworker tried to give her, but oh no she wouldn’t take it after making sure a BIG freakin deal about the whole thing. My coworker gave it to an employee behind the bar who said “thank you” and we left as the hostess says “thank you, have a nice day” I will NOT be going back into this restaurant and possibly not even the other two restaurants that are under this same ownership and I am safe to say my coworkers...
