The food here is seriously good. I had the butternut squash soup and it tasted just like my mom's (actually probably even better, sorry mom). The roasted sweet potatoes were out of this world delicious, it took everything in me not to beg for the recipe. My spouse had the party melt which he absolutely raved about. The prices are 100% worth it, as they must use local or fresh ingredients for everything. Honestly, I haven't had food this simply good and delicious since I visited Italy in 2013... and that's saying something. Never mind how cute the atmosphere is. With a small grocery fresh selection and HUGE wall of wine. And our server was just wonderful, so kind and genuine and made us feel at home.

We were just stopping through town, but if I lived here I'd stop...

We were passing through Staunton on a long I-64 road trip and needed a bite to eat. After many fast food meals over our 9 hour drive, we desperately wanted something fresh but quick since we were in a rush. Thankfully, we found Seed to Tail. They had the BEST sandwiches, and you could tell everything was as housemade as possible, including (but not limited to) the bread, the spreads, the potato salad, cookies, and more. The muffaletta sandwich was 🔥🔥🔥 and had delicious olive tapenade and giardeneira. The goat grilled cheese was also delicious and the pear was the perfect sweet bite. Our pup was able to join us on the patio as well and got all the love from the staff. We would stop here again in a...

Stopped along our way from NY to TN, and this place was such a find!! Some of the best food we have had in our 3+ week tour of the East coast! Wish we could have tried more things! We split the Beet salad grain bowl which was fabulous and so flavorful, and the patty melt was excellent, had a piece of pie a la mode which was unique and delish with a hint of cardamom, and almond cake was outstanding. All very reasonably priced for the quality of the ingredients. Even bought some popcorn kernels to take home. Beautiful wine shop and gourmet items as well, merchandised like a gourmet grocery. Take the extra few minutes to go here off of I-81,...

A great welcoming atmosphere where you like family when you walk in. Owners, Cody and Patrick, have paid great attention when making sure that the food and service are superb. My wife and I go the Smoked Turkey Club with potato salad and the pulled pork with the greens. The flavors of the meat are amazing and the crispness of the vegetables are unbeaten. If you want the farm to table experience and have it at an affordable price, Seed to Tail is the place you need to try. Also the market area offers local staples that are a MUST TRY! We will definitely be coming back to support local.

Came across this place while looking for a local "farm-to-table" restaurant. We had a small group coming from different corners of the US and everyone found something they really enjoyed! Really cute place. I like the way it's set up with the wine market on one side and dining area on the other. Service was top notch and the food was fresh, inventive, and tasty! I really praise whoever came up with these flavor combinations!
