We all had our first day in the gym. Maybe your’s wasn’t on January 1st, but for so many, myself included, it was. Going in, I was nervous, anxious, and unsure of what to do or what to expect. And, you may be trying to pump yourself up to go today, which I think is INCREDIBLE! You should be super proud of yourself taking this first step. 3 things I want you to remember: 1️⃣ You’re not going to know what you’re doing right off the bat. That’s okay, you’ll learn a lot by doing. Don’t be afraid to ask for help, in fact most gyms offer a free orientation, use that! 2️⃣ No one cares what you’re doing. People are focused on their own workout, looking at themselves in the mirror, or keeping their head down hoping no one is looking at them. If anything, they’re rooting for you to keep going. I remember after about a month a couple people complimenting me for continuing to show up for myself. 3️⃣ You DESERVE to be there, working out, moving your body, and taking up space, just as much as everyone else in the gym. Again, people want to see you succeed! Now, get your shoes on, get some good music playing to hype you up, and go take imperfect action! This could be the very day that sets the tone for an entirely different life! And, if you could use some more motivation and encouragement, follow me and I’ll be your biggest cheerleader! 💪🏼🔥🥳 . . . . . #newyearnewme #newyear2024 #2024newyear #newyearnewmebullshit #motivationalreels #myyear #2024goals #2024goalsetting #weightloss2024 #weightlossgoal #weightlossworkouts #gymgoals💪 #gymworkouts #gymgoal

Rudest life guard ever! They love to play super loud acid rock music. It’s not about the members comfort level, it’s all about whatever the life guard wants to do. Lazy, she just sits around gossiping. Never had such a bad experience at a YMCA. Complained to management, I was told I’d need to ask for music to be turned down, which I had done, when I was treated super rudely by the lifeguard and by the aquatics swim director who asked me to change swim lanes for swim classes which never took place. Management suggested I could arrange my schedule to come at times this particular lifeguard wasn’t working, rather than handle the issues. I dropped the membership. Pretty shocking when a member has to leave due to a rude...

Sadly I had to cancel. I'm Autistic, asked for no loud bass stereo playing at the pool,(its very painful to some Neurodiverse people)they actually said lifeguards take precedence over guests. I'm a former swimmer and this was fitness into my old age. When I brought my Autistic son years ago they were better. It's ableism and discrimination. The lifeguard was nice but not Aquatics director. I'm really sad about it. People with cognitive disabilities...

I love this gym and have been going there for years. They offer all kinds of classes and lessons that my kids are involved in. They also offer a summer camp which I did when I was a kid. The only reason I do not give it give stars is that the weekend hours aren't the best. They just don't stay open late enough for me. I prefer lifting weights in the late evenings. It is nice that they offer family swim in the weekends, my kids really enjoy...
