JB's Ice Cream Shoppe — Restaurant in Stephens City

Tasty ice cream, friendly staff and fair prices. I can't ask for a better combination! I pass by the town once a week and always make it a point to stop by and satisfy my sweet tooth, rain or shine. It's quickly accessible off of the interstate, which makes it an easy choice! The sitting area is beautifully lit with strand lights, offers giant connect 4 and has a playhouse for kids (the location is even a Poké stop for Pokémon GO players!). I'm excited to see what they may have planned for the space! One of the staff advised me that the owner is there almost every night, I love supporting a small business that really cares for their people and customers. Don’t like getting scolded by a 16 Year old. Tried to call to inform the manager and there’s no phone number to call. I’ve visited this place for the past 12 years every chance I get. Never really had a problem. I ordered a shake and my kid ordered an ice cream cup with chocolate topping. When he received his ice cream without the topping I informed the young lady of the mistake. The older lady immediately told me we weren’t charged for it without an apology then I over heard the young lady telling my kid “ y’all need to speak up” when you order. I’ve visited enough to not make the situation my last but the fact I can’t contact a manager leaves...

Being a longhaul driver, it's nice to find places like this where I can park the truck and get a delicious treat. I had the Blackberry shake last night, which was really good, and the chocolate shake today, which was spot on! Also tried the banana ice cream, which tastes great, none of that artificial after taste. Plan on stopping again when I pass through.
