Terrible food and dishonest people. I went in and saw the menu which stated 3.49 for Chicken Cream Chop sandwich. As I was about to order, I was told that "Shawarma is not $1.99" ... funny/sad thing is I didn't ask her anything about it (it was advertised right where the counter is --- 7 to 10pm Shawarmas and Hamburgers are $1.99 ... I went there at 9:10pm). After I explained to her I wanted 2 Chicken Cream Chop sandwiches, I asked for 2 of those advertised $1.99 Hamburgers. She straight away replied they didn't have any more for the night. Which I guess is believable. She said my total was $8.46 for 2 chicken creamchops. I didn't think of much until I tried to give her my card and she asked for cash. After I paid in cash, I asked for a receipt because instead of asking me if I wanted it or not, she just took it and put it with her stuff. She had charged me for beef shawarma (which is also priced at $3.49 in their menu). I was willing to let her charge me extra .50c per sandwich because of the way she reacted after I asked for the receipt (figured she needed the extra dollar more than I did). I wouldn't have written this review and forgiven her for stealing a dollar extra from me IF the food was good. Both of our sandwiches were dry as heck. There was NOTHING in them except some chicken and mostly lettuce and tomatoes. Maybe this was a one time thing since it was almost end of the day and maybe they didn't have enough customers so they felt overcharging would help them somehow. To reiterate, I did not mind paying the extra dollar even though it was a dishonest way of doing it. What I do mind is almost a hollow sandwich which was ... for the lack of better words, trash.
I would not recommend this place unless you want to pay extra for garbage. I hope this was a one time thing...
Read moreThe restaurant offers delicious food, but there are a few concerns that I feel compelled to mention. Despite labeling itself as halal, when I inquired about the source of their meat, the staff couldn't provide satisfactory information. As a Muslim, this lack of transparency made me uneasy. Additionally, I noticed that they discreetly kept religious symbols, such as crosses and images of Jesus and Mother Mary, out of sight below the counter. While the food was enjoyable, these issues regarding halal certification and religious symbols give me pause. I believe transparency and respect for dietary preferences are important in any establishment, and unfortunately, I'm hesitant to dine here again even though the service and food were amazing and the prices...
Read moreI came here with my family and we all ordered the exact same dish — big mistake. A few minutes later, I started feeling awful. Nausea, stomach pain, and headaches. Once we got home I took multiple trips to the bathroom . My family had similar symptoms, so it was clearly something we ate.
We didn’t go to the doctor, because it was 1 am but the timing and symptoms were way too obvious to ignore. It completely ruined the rest of our night. I’ve never had this kind of reaction from a restaurant before, and honestly, I don’t want to risk it again.
Food shouldn’t make you sick. Be careful if you decide to eat here. I would give it 0...
