We stopped in to try this little gem today for the first time and I am so glad we did. First I can let you know that I have been to most of the Mediterranean, Middle East restaurants In Sterling Heights and the surrounding areas. I know there are some slight differences in style and tastes of cuisine according to personal preference. But everyone has the same expectations for good service. Well I can for sure tell you that the service from the staff and owners is simply outstanding. They are so kind and helpful. They give personal attention to detail and the whole restaurant is very clean. Personally this makes me more relaxed and I enjoy my meal more. Our food was excellent in presentation and taste. For dining in meals you get more variety of Iraqi salads than anywhere. At least six different dishes of pickled and chopped vegetables were brought out for our table. We had tourshee, chopped onion, tomato, cucumber, olives, anba and a delicious red cabbage with jalapeños. My cream chop sandwich was grilled lightly and moist. I also had a small fattoush salad which was big enough for us both to share. We also had the beef kabob with rice and grilled vegetables. My husband said this is the BEST beef kabob at any restaurant. This is really saying a lot because he is very picky about his cabob. They were very moist and the grilled veggies and rice set it up completely. So I hope you will give them a try soon. We may see you because this is now our ânewâ regular go to for our meals when we are in that area. Also have added...
Read moreShady shady shady! They just make up prices and charge you whatever they want to make a little extra and donât give whatâs suppose to be included on menu. Ordered a platter for 2 and extra potato curry sauce. When I got there they charged 36 even. I asked why, I was told by the woman and man who are always at the register that âits taxes honey.â Platter cost 29.99, was told the extra sauce was $3, that would make tax 1.97. Thatâs 34.96 by my math but I guess a dollar is worth their reputation. Then for the third time in a row, this exact situation has happened all 3 times Iâve been here, they charged my card .36 and said they needed to run again. Look later and it charged 1.36. A time previous my husband was told on the phone Garlic sauce is $3. I get there and she tries to charge me $5! Shady all around, and the food isnât even good like it was when I went the first time. Much smaller amount for a lot more cost, old and reheated and super stale hard pita bread instead of the bread the menu states you get. Will never return. Thereâs way too many places in the area to...
Read moreI believe this business could benefit from having someone at the front who can communicate clearly in English to help ensure orders arenât mixed up, similar to what many other restaurants in the area do. During my visit, the lady at the front spent more time on the phone and FaceTime than attending to the lobby. As a customer, itâs not ideal to see staff taking orders while on FaceTime, especially when tables in the lobby need cleaning. If thereâs time to be on FaceTime, there should be time to maintain a clean and welcoming environment. Itâs the small details like professionalism and cleanliness that make a big difference. Speaking as a past business owner, these improvements would go a long way.
A clean front area takes less than 5â10 minutesâif thatâs overlooked, it raises questions about how the food area is maintained and how...
