Very rude young lady spoke to me over the phone. The second time we spoke over the phone she just cut me off and said “have a good day” without hesitation. She texted me afterwards apologetically. Only because her manager told her to tell me I can get my item the next time I order. This could have all been avoided. I feel really bad that my door dash driver has a late delivery on his account now. I couldn’t cancel my order because it was too late to do that by the time they called and said they didn’t have what I wanted (Mind you they also were out of stock on Thursday on my first attempt to order) I wanted to make sure my delivery driver at least got a good tip for trying. He drove to the location twice, and they should have just given him a substitution the first time he was there. I still don’t understand why they kept insisting I change the order myself, but that wasn’t even an option on my end. If I cancelled the order I would’ve gotten zero money back, and my door dasher would’ve gotten marked on his account for cancellation due to late delivery. I made sure to give him a second tip. When I was on the phone with my dasher the second time he was there the young girl accused me of being a “scammer” (I guess because I refused to cancel and lose money???) My dasher even confirmed to me what she said. Very unprofessional. Today I was just trying to support another local business, but they just decided to insult me for asking to get one item. My order was literally just one item. A few weeks ago I even gave them a positive review on door dash. Man the irony. I would delete that review if it were an option. Price: $16 for two tacos & a large micheagua.
Service: Stood at window for a while while three staff inside stood & talked to each other. After a while, I asked the other customer if they were open (which the neon sign implied they were) & he said they always spend too much time talking to each other rather than pay attention to customers. Woman was nice when the other customer yelled to get their attention to help me & get him the food he had already ordered. Drink came up quick, but when food was ready it was all packaged up for take away despite having been requested for dining there (and the drink prepared for there since full to top & no lid). Cook didn’t seem to care that the front counter person had listed it for dine-in when she pointed it out so she asked me if I was ok eating it as is it wanted it replayed. Styrofoam wasn’t going to be reused, so no need to dirty plates. Had to go back to window & knock to get attention since no spoon was provided for the consume.
Taste: The Birria taco’s flavor did not come from the Birria de res but from salsa they drowned it in & the side of consume. Thought the salsa was going to come on the side (as mango habanero on a birria taco was a bit odd) but then realized it needed the salsa. One good thing to note was the chef didn’t skimp on the meat, it was stuffed to the gills with meat & decent helping of queso. Been on a Birria kick lately & these tacos so far have had the largest serving of meat, but most underwhelming flavor profile. Read moreI called in & placed a fairly small order. 2 cheese quesadillas, 1 hot dog & 2 birria tacos .. after i placed my order they told me it would be a 25 minute wait. I waited 30 minutes & attempted to go pick up my food as instructed. Once i paid & asked for the wait time they said it would be an additional 15/20 minutes because they had a large order before mine. Totally understandable but they should have told me the wait would be an hour over the 25 minutes i expected. I heard so many good reviews on this place but each time I come it’s an issue. I will not be returning. I was pressed for time & ended up cancelling my order because i could not wait any additional time for something that should have been done upon my arrival.
In response to your message, this is more of reason i will not be returning. I was looking to BECOME a regular customer, i waited the full 25 minutes that YOU said to wait because i understand you are not a fast food restaurant and i had no problem wanting for my freshly made food. Yes, i also understand you take walk in orders, as i waited 5 minutes on the phone for my order to even be taken. I had no problem waiting, which is why I waited. Going forward you should tell your customers that you will not begin preparing their food unless we pay first.
