Carl’s Jr. — Restaurant in Stockton

update: Thursday, February 13, 2025, late evening This particular Carl’s might be my favorite fast food in the area. If you go later in the evening everything is cooked fresh and hot. They close at 11 PM… I arrived at 10:40 and they were still open and all menu items were available. I’m so used to places shutting down a half hour before their closing time. I was surprised that these employees had a great attitude and put out some really good food. Kudos to these Carl’s Jr. employees. —————————— Update: Thursday, September 26, 2024, late evening Kudos to the late evening crew! They always do a great job. I ordered delivery tonight because I was too lazy to go get it. Everything was packed perfectly. Most everything was either warm or hot! They do a great job. Thanks —————————- Update: Sunday, April 21, 2024 latenight Quite late evening… After 9 PM and I was hungry. I remembered I had a gift card I purchased a while back and wanted to use it. I ordered two California classic double cheeseburgers. I was amazed at how good they were. I added extra mustard so they were a bit messy but quite tasty! The meat had the right mouth feel and tasted great. The whole burger was good and the bun held together through the whole meal . I was pleasantly surprised. I also ordered the natural cut fries. They were OK but they’re probably better when they’re hot. By the time I got home they were barely warm. The chicken stars…forget them. They’re the worst of all the chicken nuggets the restaurants offer. I wouldn’t order them again! I asked for my order to be cooked fresh and the server said this late evening everything is cooked fresh! :)

Late night dinner. Leaving my rating at three stars for the following reasons:

I asked for my entire order to be cooked fresh. “Oh yes, it’s late at night. We cook everything fresh since we’re getting ready to close.”

I ordered three double bacon cheeseburgers for $4 each. Two were very good…hot and fresh. The other one not so. I believe they used meat that was sitting in the warmer for a while. So sad that I pay good money and have to eat mediocre warm food.

Same with the fries. I wanted them hot and fresh. No no. They were as bad as McDonald’s fries when they sit around for 30. If I remember right, the natural cut fries used to be fairly thick and they would retain their heat for a while but these fries are so thin and skinny they get cold fast and they’re no good.

I ordered a couple of chocolate chip cookies for dessert. It’s pretty obvious they don’t make them there. You’re wrapped in a cellophane wrapper!

Got a bit of an attitude from the manager when we weren't ready to order the moment we walked in the restaurant. He actually rolled his eyes and got a look on his face to express his frustration because we needed to take a moment to decide what we would like for lunch. When we were ready to order we walked forward to the register, a different employee came up and just stood there never asking what we wanted, she just stood there staring at us, it was a bit uncomfortable. Well we did give our order and got our food pretty quick, the food I believe would meet Carl's Jr standards. The restaurant was clean and looked well maintained...

First time here since Covid. Ordered 2 superstars with cheese, fries, fried zucchini and a drink. Got it home and no receipt. Oil from the zucchini was all over the burgers and the bag. Pulled the zucchini out first as it was on top and oil was dripping from the bottom. Fries were cold and burgers where burnt. Lemonade drink had no ice. Tried to call but the number goes to fax. Wife had surgery today and I was exhausted and hungry having been up since 2:30 a.m. to get wife ready for a 5:30 a.m. dropoff.
