Horrible customer service. I called in an order for 60 pcs. and paid for 60pcs. I went home to separate the order in half (30pcs each) and found that they only gave me 50pcs. I called and tried to explain the situation and they disregarded my concerns. The owner’s reasoning was that she has been doing this for 12 years and “knows” the difference between 50 and 60 I kept telling her that I HAD JUST counted it and there are only 50. She told me that she can’t do anything about it and not even offer a refund for the 10pcs missing. She was adamant that there were 3 people who supposedly counted, but I heard people in the background who said that they were sure it was 50. I was literally staring at the order while on the phone with her, with my mother in law and fiance counting it, and guess what number they came to? 50 frickin pieces! She was talking to me like it was my fault the missing 10 pcs mysteriously disappeared from the time they counted to the time I came and picked up the order. For someone who’s been in this for 12 years, you’d think they’d know something about customer service. Crooks. Never...

11/16/2023: I was craving Filipino food, so I dropped in to Manila Foods. They have a lot of dishes to choose from, but I went with the 2 meat/rice combo of kare-kare and chicken adobo. The chicken adobo was average. It didn't have the sour vinegar taste I crave. The pieces I got were minimal - half a drumstick, part of the back, the tip of the breast, and a gizzard, which I do not like.

The kare-kare was made of pork shanks - a big bone surrounded with minimal meat and the skin. I have heard of the dish being made with pork, but I had never had it. Maybe it was the cut of meat with the skin, but I did not care for it. I could barely even taste the peanut butter flavor of the sauce. I didn't get many veggies with my serving either - maybe 4 pieces of long beans and a couple of bok choy. A dollap of shrimp paste was placed on top after I requested the condiment. There was a heaping pile of white rice with my entree; too much compared to the minimal amount of protein I was given.

I've had better food at this place. Next time, I'll get what I know...

When they first opened, they were good. As the years go by, the quality of food has too. The lady is very pushy about adding other food items. This last time, they were out of pancit, so she substituted it with a different noodle dish. When we reached the register, she charged us $3 more for the "upsized" noodles per plate. The food was horrible. We spent $50 on two meals that we threw away because it just didn't taste good. The place is super small, with three tables, and most of the time, a worker is at one or more tables. They charge us your debit/credit card, and once they run out of something, they are out...
