Mariscos El Cachanilla — Restaurant in Stockton

The food is good but that's about it. So maybe go here for take out but it'll cost you a pretty penny. They don't do actual waiter work so no tip to leave here, the place is as deserted as can be seen in the pics i posted. I ordered a shrimp and octopus tostada which was good but it had like four shrimps on it and more octopus but i would give it a four star for taste and presentation, it would be higher if they had given me more tostadas or some crackers if i needed them, but i had nothing extra aside for one extra tostada by itself. I also ordered filete empanizado which was also good and that plate i would give a good 4 stars, for it to be a perfect. I was not given anything to eat my main dish, even though they asked me when i ordered if i wanted tostadas or tortillas, i said i usually have it with bread the cashier told me i could have it with bread but when i looked at the receipt it was 3 dollars extra for the bread. They put rice and lettuce with the fish filet and some diced tomatoes with what seemed to be some kind of red sauce. I recommend having along fries on the plate but whatever, everybody prepares it differently. When the plates came, they give them to you at the counter so you carry it to your table. The whole experience was super strange cause i wouldn't call this place a restaurant, it's a takeout mariscos place. I went in yesturday morning and order a Torta one fish taco and Aguachile......i tought the food was going to be good and what a Disapointment. I Literaly waited ONE HOUR for 3 items i ask the cashier how long was it going to take because it order to go and she said 30min. I came back and all the pple who order after me had gotter their order including the pple who wore bearly ordering when i went back tto Pick up my food got theirs first. I was really patient and tryd not to get irritated by the employes their but they wore just taking too long. After an HOUR i got my order and i was still missing the fish taco i ask for my money back and only took the aguachile that I WAS EXPECTING IT TO BE BETTER but it tasted like caldo de pepino. I order shrimp ceviche and 1 fish ceviche as the gal taking the orders said they were small. Portion for ceviche is actually big makes about 4 tostadas. I would definitely recommend the shrimp ceviche it had a better flavor than the fish. Price for the ceviche is not bad at all however price for their other items seems hight to me. Husband had the coco todo crudo (they have been out of the coconut shell they normally put the cocktail in) so they gave him a cup. Taste was not that great on the coco todo. I would recommend you do take out. I asked for plates and one of the girls said they didn't have any but yet they handed another customer a handfull of them.
