Sandy’s Family Grill — Restaurant in Stonelick Township

I stopped in with only 30 minutes to spend with my adult son before he had somewhere else to go, and this place popped up on google. Honestly I had pretty low expectations. It’s a tiny hole in the wall, but I was in for a pleasant surprise. The young lady that took our order was so patient with our questions, being unfamiliar with the menu I had lots of questions. We had the appetizer sampler and split a grilled ham and cheese. She was very friendly and kind. When she brought the piping hot food to the table within minutes, I was kinda impressed. The pickle fries rivaled the best in Cincinnati, and I’m a fried pickle snob. The onion rings didn’t fall apart when you bit into them and were tasty. The Mac& cheese bites were yummy. The sandwich was a little bland but still good. The only thing I would change is the only serve Pepsi products which I don’t care for, so another diet drink option would have been nice like diet Dr Pepper. I only gave 1 star because they advertised a big bun and the one I got was teeny tiny😞 and charged me almost $10 for basically a HALF a sub. When the pics online show full subs. I had to run to Eastgate to get enough food to even fill me up. Extremely false advertisement. If you want a full sub it's gonna run you almost $20. Yes they were nice but I would be too if I was only giving you a 6 inch sub for almost $10. It's a total rip off. Unfortunately it was also sub par and not a lot of meat or cheese.
