I have been a long time super fan of town spa pizza, however, after this evening I will probably never go back!!! The service is dreadful! After I was delivered a raw doughey Pizza that had looked like it had been kicked around on the floor, and had a long strand of brown hair cooked into it , my waitress seemed to had been abducted by aliens. She never returned . I had to send it back with another waitress who returned with the same pizza, cooked to a crisp with the same long piece of brown hair draping over the side of the pizza pan. I AM SO DISGUSTED. I demanded she take it back and get my check, in the mean time she sent a manager named Kathy over. (Woof) Kathy apologized up and down and stated she would have another one made. By then we were already in the restaurant longer then planned and I helped my son finish his entree, so I declined the pizza when she finally brought it out. At that time another manager by the name of Kerri came over (she was the GM) and stated "looks like that tall skinny b*h" did comp your bill for you. 1. How is it comping my bill when I didn't get anything edible served to me? 2. Why would you speak that way in front of my six hear old? She responded that I was overheard saying that and that they were done "kissing my a." This was not true....I never called anyone by that name nor did anyone kiss my a.! The pizza was delivered back to me with the same hair in it and I was charged for pizza that i did not eat on the bill(hardly an a kissing)...I advised Kerri that i asked another server for a different manager as the tall skinny blonde didn't resolve my issue. The waitress that I spoke to interjected and advised Kerry that I never used that word. She then advised her employee who vouged for me that "her food was up". When I told her she was approaching me in an unprofessional manner and I was reporting her to someone hire up, she responded "My Father owns this restaurant, good luck with that". My God!!! We were only there to celebrate a perfect report card. I have never felt so uncomfortable or treated so poorly in my entire life. I grew up close by in Sharon. My large family and myself regularly visit that place. If anyone should ever consider ordering from there, please keep in mind that what once was a beautiful family friendly restaurant, is now a disgrace. Please just order take out if anything and please take the extra time to review some of the horrible staff feedback from other displeased...
Read moreAn outstanding and well known local pizza joint. I have been enjoying what Town Spa has to offer for nearly 3 decades now.
Famous for it's "Bar pizza", which is a thin crusted pizza meant to serve one (or two on a diet!), Town Spa's pizza is second to none. There is also a wide array of other food served here from sanwhiches to seafood. Unless you hate pizza, you won't walk away from here disappointed with the food.
The bar is fully stocked and you can expect friendly service. Be warned that due to Town Spa's popularity there will be wait times for regular seating, and a fully packed bar on the weekends.
While there is a large amount of parking, you should expect to enter a jammed lot during peak hours and the weekend. Take out has its own parking section at the front lot and is easy to find a spot at most any time.
Town Spa is a great place to host a birthday, and they even have a smaller basement bar and section if you are looking to host a small to medium private event.
One thing to be aware of is that credit cards are not accepted here. Both cash and checks are, and two ATMs can be found in the takeout room.
Without a doubt my favorite pizza joint in MA for...
Read moreCurious to see what all the buzz was about, I recently visited this long-standing local hangout that's clearly popular with the neighborhood crowd. Unfortunately, my experience didn’t quite live up to the hype.
To start with the positives: our server was excellent—friendly, attentive, and definitely the highlight of the visit. However, the rest of the experience left a lot to be desired. The restaurant is cash only, which felt inconvenient in this day and age.
The menu is extremely limited, offering just pizza, salad, and sandwiches. That’s it. I tried the pizza, which came out as a greasy, thin-crust, personal-sized portion, lacking much flavor. They do have beer, cocktails, and wine.
While the restaurant is clearly a staple in the community—judging by the consistently full parking lot—the draw seems to be more about the bar scene than the food. The main bar room is loud, making it difficult to have a conversation, so it’s definitely not ideal for a date night.
They do offer takeout, which might be a better option if you're determined to try it. Overall, unless you're in it for the drinks or nostalgic vibes, there are better food...
