In my opinion this little place was ok They offer table-side Guacamole so of course that’s what we had… Normally they ask you how much you would like at other restaurants One or two limes, did you want onion and how much, cilantro how much, spicy or not spicy, jalapeños or no jalape ? However the owner didn’t ask these questions he was doing the table side as no waitress showed for work. The other seem very nice
Salsa / Chips : These are not an extra cost which is a plus now that’s some Mexican restaurants are charging.. Whoever made the salsa really need some work it was really watery as we mentioned no substance of salsa ..
We ordered tacos very simple one set of tacos was a steak and chicken Mexican style the other side of tacos or American style the differences American has lettuce tomato and cheese, the Mexican style is onions and cilantro - However all the tacos came with cilantro and onion But that’s not what we were told when we were ordering and my husband of course does not like onion or cilantro.
Moving forward onto the steak tacos, very chewy not very flavorful pretty bland, the Mexican taco made with the onions and cilantro overdone with the onion and this was red onion.
The chicken tacos we liked those were good They had flavor
They bring you 2 Jars of hot sauce one green and one red they were both very good and hand made you could tell we enjoyed both hot sauces !!! All they need to do is add that to the salsa and it’ll be a winner 🙏
I would recommend going here and giving it a shot, there is room for improvement but however it’s not such a bad place the owner was very friendly, they offered tableside guacamole, and they had a decent menu
4 tacos, 2 sodas, table side...
Read moreI went here about 2 months ago, so I went in person to buy some tacos , when I saw they had birra tacos so I asked if they were fully beef or mixed meat as it is not stated one the menu ( usually they are beef) . So I asked worker there if they were fully beef and he said yes they were . So then I bought some and ATE them . So 2-3 days later I went back and got them again as I thought they were fully beef , until I went home and saw that they were INFACT THEY HAD PORK IN THEM , and the problem about that is that I don’t eat pork because of partially religious reasons and personal reasons/ beliefs. So I went back to the place and asked for a simple refund as the food was not eaten at all and also because I was told by a worker that the tacos did not have pork in them. BUT they did not want to refund me and the other employee that was there and heard the interaction the time before said as an excuse that the employee I talked to was a new employee there but they heard the conversation but didn’t even correct the person. Then they lied saying that they couldn’t give me a refund as the manager’s card was not there and then after 5-10 minutes of me insisting that I didn’t want other food or those tacos at all. Only then did the employee I was talking to asked if I really wanted a refund when I said yes they finally went to the back to get the card “ that wasn’t there” but in fact was so basically she lied and tried to cover up her lie after. So in the end I did get a refund only because I was being serious about getting my refund and not...
Read moreStopped in with my partner about 40 minutes before closing and opted to takeout rather than eat in. I don't like to have less than an hour before closing for eat-in restaurants, it feels rude.
The atmosphere of the restaurant was nice and appeared to be very clean. There was a bar in the back but we did not enter the back room. The host was friendly and polite.
For our entrees, I got the veggie fajita, my partner got the al pastor quesadilla. The portions are a decent size.
However, we were both pretty disappointed with our entrees. They were surprisingly super under seasoned. It feels unnecessarily mean to say this about a local restaurant, but Taco Bell genuinely seasons their food more. The only thing I can really praise is the rice, it was decently tasty. Also, the vegetables were definitely fresh, that is a plus.
I saw several other reviews complain about lack of seasoning, so I feel like I'm not just whining or being picky.
The appetizers and dessert were fantastic. The guacamole and chips were amazing. Seriously good guac! The salsa (that I believe was complimentary?) was pretty good as well. The queso was pretty tasty, too. We also got churros, which were fantastic. They give you Hershey's chocolate syrup and a caramel sauce to dip.
As far as Mexican American food, our entrees didn't quite do it for us. If someone is afraid to go here in fear of the food being too spicy or seasoned heavily for them, tell them they do not need to fear, it's bland. This is someone's preference, but it was not mine and...
