Red Ginger — Restaurant in Stow

Service was atrocious! We arrived around 8:45 pm knowing the restaurant closed at 9:30. We were greeting by the host with the following statement, “we close at 9:30, you need to eat quick!” This is not an exaggeration in the least! We sat, had menus literally thrown at us and ordered within minutes. As our food was delivered so was our check! I ordered the Dragon and the Phoenix which was nicely cooked. However, no sooner had I finished my meal and a server appeared attempting to take my plate. I explained I was not finished as my brother offered me some of his meal. After literally placing the last bit of food into my mouth, the same rude server reappeared pressing to take my plate. Getting a box for our leftovers seemed like an extra effort for the wait staff! As we left the restaurant, a couple remained at the bar working on a scorpion bowl and did not appear to being forced out of the restaurant!

The food was just your average Chinese Food offered at almost all Chinese restaurants in the United States. In other words, the food was nothing special. However, I don’t think I have EVER encountered a more rude server and host! Even having grown up in Massachusetts and understanding the biases regarding the rudeness of many New Englanders and frequency of finding “Massaholes,” this staff brought new meaning to these terms! Even if this restaurant is your only option, I recommend avoiding this establishment at all costs! We, did nothing wrong as customers, and knew upon entering the restaurant that we would need to eat quickly. However, at all restaurants I have EVER eaten at, as long as you are seated within reason by the closing time, you are taken care of as it takes time to close the kitchen and clean up the restaurant for closing.

Only by voting with your feet can such rudeness be depicted as absolutely unacceptable! Perhaps if the clientele cease supporting this restaurant will the owners understand that they need to change their attitudes! After all this restaurant is part of a “service industry!” Absolutely unacceptable...

I went with a group of my friends and 2 of us got sushi and 2 got hibachi. The hibachi came out first and looked unappetizing. My friends who were eating it claimed that it was cold and seemed like it was just heated up. When we confronted the waiter about it he brought the manager out to talk to us who was VERY rude and basically was yelling at us about getting her money for the food that was made. She told my friend she was allowed to exchange the food for something else but could not take the food back completely with a refund. So unwillingly they ordered sushi because the manager was demanding that they order something else and was yelling all different types at them while they were already reading the menu themselves. Also, when she was making us separate checks she was muttering "oh my god" and "so complicated and ridiculous" to us as we were telling her how we wanted the check split up. I was shocked because that should not be how you treat your customers. She was condescending and rude and I felt like she did not follow the policy that the customer is always right and she also went about solving the problem the completely wrong way. First time to this Chinese restaurant and the server is rude. She seems annoyed when you have a question regarding the food and I asked for chopsticks she got them and just threw them on the table. Service is slow too.

My mom went back to this place with a friend and she's diebetic she has a hard time reading fine print. she asked the asked the server a question about their soup since it was hard for her to see the print and the server replied " You've been here many times , you still don't know the menue", then she walked away and never returned. So my mom and friend had to leave and go some were else. Even 1 star is too good for this place. So if you are looking for better service and great food. Don't go here, horrible horrible chinese restaurant, very very rude server and managment don't care. They have "Spice Pepper Garden" in acton that's upscale and better fine dinning.
