The bread is what it is. Obviously good quality, but this does not excuse the awful delivery experince to our restuarant. Tried calling in, seemingly impossible to get ahold of anyone. Get nothing but voicemails from HR, General Inquiry, and 2 other options I've tried repeatedly for weeks (can't rememeber what the departments were called). We order on average 1 rack worth of breads per week and currently have 5 bread racks that this driver REFUSES to take back. Meaning this is week 6 he did not take any racks with him. (In the interest of honesty, he was on vacation last week and 2 girls were the drivers and they didn't take it either.) He said he doesn't have room for racks on Fridays, not my problem. (Friday is not the only day we've had delivery, just being open about the whole scenario.) If you picked up 1 when you dropped off 1, they would always fit. 95% of the time he leaves the rack out in the dining room on the closest shelf to the door. A few times he has brought it to the kitchen, once or twice he left the rack on top of my garbage can, disgustingly ridiculous. I have pictures of all the complaints I've just made. He just weaseled his way out the door about an hour ago, before I knew he had even been here. I will be calling your HR dept non stop today. Been in this industry for 15 years, Mancini drivers used to go as far as rotating bread for us at other locations I've worked. Never had issues like this up until the last year or so of me being at this restuarant. A year with the same delivery driver and I've never learned his name, shows her personal this guy is. He is really making your company look bad, he needs to step up and finish his job correctly.
Edit: Wanted to clarify, I do not expect your drivers to rotate our product, was giving an example of past...
Read moreOk so I am a huge fan of Mancini's I'm 48 and my parents took me as a kid every Sunday and I've kept that tradition with my family not so much sundayS but we regularly go. So what most people love to do is to get bread for the week and MOST IMPORTANTLY u get a warm loaf to eat on the car on the way home, u get bread crumbs all over the car and just talk and laugh and just have those great family moments. So HERE IS MY BEEF. Everytime we go day or night and ask for a WARM ONE it's like they turn there lip up at u, I mean it's like they know u want and u know they have it because that's all they do is cook bread and back in the day when u asked for a warm one that means ANYTHING WARM. The employees treat it like u r addicted to some kind of drug and they have the some kind of power over u and they do because u r standing there looking at WARM FRICKIN BREAD and they won't let u have it. Now I know they have orders to fill but any normal business would have to make extra to account for mistakes. SO I SUGGEST THAT ANYONE WHO WALKS IN ASK FOR A WARM LOAF JUST BECAUSE U KNOW THERE GOING TO SAY NO ANYWAY AND IT DRIVES THEM NUTS. This is for the manager or owners I hope your business goes UNDER like it almost did when bread works opened and u teach ur employee's some FAMILY VALUES because if they had any they would know that just a loaf of bread can be a special moment for any and every family or friendships across the world. Tell them that they would be better drug dealers then bread...
Read moreI love mancini normally. But I had a bad experience trying to order some sourdough which they special order only. First I was told in store you have to call in and that's the only way to order it. So I spent 2 hours trying to call in and never got my call answered and then went back to the store, Come to find out that isn't the case and you can call, email, or order in store. Maby it was just a new employee that didn't know. And then the sourdough that I got was very mildly flavored and practically didn't taste like anything but normal bread. I don't know about you, but I like a very strong flavor for my sourdoughs and even mentioned it in store when I ordered. Now to be fair I also grabbed a loaf of pumpernickel which was fabulous and definitely will have me buying it again...
