Windmill Tavern — Restaurant in Stratford

No intend to hate at all. If there is someone who tries to look for a great experience amongst the negative it's me. I love the world and most of all the experience out of a new place in the middle of nowhere. Meaning being in a new place and looking for a unforgettable experience. Bartender last night Wednesday let me know she wanted to leave from the get go and it was as the business days in it's website page an hour an a half till closing. I had to literally chug my beer and get out. Don't blame the bartender looks like what's wrong has more to do with administration. Being a 25 food and beverage entrepreneur and Chef I found that a true shame.The venue is perfect. Good restaurant area. Great bar area. Don't get me wrong. From experience bartender is very experienced but not happy with her work place wich for us in the industry means many things to ng in wrong with the administration and owners. I'm sure if the bartender was happier with her job it would have been different. Went two or three days before and had a Chicago style hot dog and chilly that was not bad. Awsome venue. I would buy it and make it an unforgettable place to be. Yet that wasn't my experience. "You never know when a true fan will walk in. Give always your best no matter what in the food and beverage industry is my firm believe. You never know who is walking in and in the end servers are the face of any good and beverage business. Sorry to say place needs more TLC for the clients. Love the look and concept. Needs administration towards friendly service and treatment. Give three stars cause hot dogs weren't bad at all. Kitchen staff is pretty legit....

I was a bit skeptical when ordering from this establishment, but again, thanks to Groupon I decided to give it a shot and I was not disappointed, much. It was a bit disappointing to find out after the fact that I couldn't use the Groupon for takeout so I ended up having to pay full price. After getting hoke and digging in I didn'tind that after all as I will be ordering again.

The pizza was fantastic!! I got the Margherita Pizza 🍕 which was delicious 😋. The dough was perfect and firm enough to hold without it flopping over, the toppings were full sliced tomatoes so you got a peice with every bite, and it was crispy without being burnt.

I've had some trouble finding an establishment that can make a mean Steak and Cheese Bomb. Let me tell you that Windmill Tavern has got you covered. You'll have to request that pepper's and mushrooms be added to your order to make it a Bomb, however, it's the best Steak and Cheese I've had since moving to CT from Boston.

They have great specials and Karaoke ever second and fourth Tuesday of the month, if I am remembering correctly. Karaoke will be my mission for my second visit. 💪🏿😊

First time going here. I live about 45 minutes away, and my wife and I were looking for somewhere new since we were in an area we'd never been in before. Reviews seemed good, so we gave the place a shot.

We ordered takeout. Honestly, they got off to a rocky start. When we called, we ordered Irish Nachos and a few other things. They called us back, and apologetically told us there were no Irish nachos. We ordered Calamari instead. They called us back again, and told us they had no calamari, we decided to just get somehicken fingers, lol. No biggy, we thought, the woman on the phone was very nice about it, so no hard feelings.

I gotta say though, even after the fiasco on the phone, this place impressed my wife and I. not sure why I saw people complaining about the interior, the place looks beautiful! It looks exactly how you'd imagine a tavern should. The people inside were very friendly, and apologetic, the price was wildly agreeable, and the food was great. My only complaint is that I can't justify coming back soon, because...
