I recently had the pleasure of visiting Condesa, an excellent Mexican restaurant in Sturbridge, MA with a friend! They truly exceeded our expectations in terms of food, service, and accommodation for food sensitivities. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere that immediately set the tone for a memorable dining experience.
The menu at this restaurant was not only diverse and creative, but also catered to a variety of dietary restrictions and allergies. As someone with food sensitivities, I was delighted to see numerous options that were clearly labeled and thoughtfully prepared. The chef and staff were incredibly knowledgeable and attentive, ensuring that my dining experience was both safe and enjoyable. Did I mention the food is prepared by Scratch!!! Yumđđđ
The food itself was nothing short of exceptional. Each dish was beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. From the appetizers to the main courses, every bite was a delight to the senses. The attention to detail and quality of ingredients was evident in every dish.
Not only was the food outstanding, but the service was equally impressive. The staff was attentive, friendly, and went above and beyond to accommodate any special requests or preferences. From recommending dishes to ensuring a seamless dining experience, their professionalism and genuine hospitality were truly commendable.
In addition to the remarkable food and service, the accommodation for food sensitivities was outstanding. The staff took the time to understand my specific dietary needs and made sure that all precautions were taken to prevent any cross-contamination or allergen exposure. This level of care and attention to detail gave me peace of mind and allowed me to fully enjoy my dining experience.
Overall, my experience at this restaurant was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we walked in, we felt welcomed and valued as a guest with food sensitivities. The combination of delicious food, impeccable service, and thoughtful accommodation made for a truly unforgettable dining experience. We highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a positive and inclusive dining...
Read moreI am a native North county San Diegan. Let me be very specific about the type of Mexican food here this is Mexico City food as in really authentic. I haven't had food like this nearly two decades and definitely have never had food of this quality that can actually call itself Mexican food... On the entire eastern seaboard. I'm sure there are places that claim to be authentic Mexican but it's typically Guatemalan or it has Salvadorian flare to it. My husband ordered the molcajete, this is a meat lovers delight. I judge Mexican food by how well they make their flautas and let me tell you the beef lautas were insanely good. Not just good they were great. If you bite into a taquito or a flauta and the whole piece of meat comes out that's how you know it's bad. That is not the case here this was succulent birria style meat. Guacamole was pure perfection and it's simple form as guacamole. Our server gave us a sample of their elote street corn and let me tell you it is really elote. You can tell by when they don't skimp on the mayo and the tajin. Salsa with fresh and perfect. I can't believe you found this little gym and Sturbridge let alone this far in from a city. Yes your prices are high but of course... You're getting high quality food here not street vendor food. My husband goes to the gym next door three times a week we will definitely be eating here at least once a week if not take out. Atmosphere is wonderful and it was a true joy today to sit somewhere and eat food the way it was supposed to be prepared and made but have yet to find it outside of my home state. I can quite honestly say the last time I had food of this quality was in Mexico City in 1994. I hope they survive the economy of Sturbridge because I plan to visit them as often as I can when I'm north.
I'm posting pictures of the before and after because I usually never finish my plate I always take leftovers home but I could not resist. I am already planning our next several takeout orders and my husband is keeping this as a permanent lunch date place among very few places we go while we are in this neck...
Read moreI had high hopes for this place but unfortunately it was a let down. The first thing that stood out was the prices. By far the most expensive Mexican restaurant in the area. We figured the food must at least be good for those prices but we were wrong. The "salsa" (I hesitate to even call it that) was gross. It was ice cold and clearly just came out of the freezer so we know it wasnt fresh. It was just tomato puree with a little bit of cilantro. There was a spiciness to it but there were no visible peppers or onions in it. We ordered the guacamole and again were let down. It was edible but wasn't fresh and had almost no ingredients in it other than the guacamole itself. We finished off our chips and nobody ever asked us if we wanted more. When we ordered drinks they got our drink order wrong and they were a lot smaller than margaritas we've had elsewhere. Finally when it was time for the main course we were let down again. Super small portions and everything was the lowest quality I've ever seen. There was no flavor at all to the rice and beans. All of our meals were super dry and none came with any sauce or sour cream whatsoever. They also didn't seem to use any seasoning. The total for the 3 of us including tip was almost 160$. We usually don't even spend 100$ between the 3 of us at our other Mexican place and the food is 10x better + portions are twice the size. This place is like McDonald's quality but for 5 star restauraunt prices. On the plus side the servers were nice and the restaurant was nice as well. There was virtually nobody there on a weekend and the place just recently opened so I'm assuming they won't be around long unless they make...
