This place is diddily danggity good. Not only has it been in business for years and is very successful, but actually deserves to be. The staff here are always kind and know what they're doing. The food, especially their great pizza and chicken parm, is always fantastic. I also really like how part of the restaurant was renovated six years ago and still looks new today. They also have plenty of comfortable seating for a smaller building. HOWEVER, Village Pizza does have a few significant problems. A friend of mine's child went to school with the owner's kid. He was a menace and even hit her in the head with a toy giraffe. Sad. As for issues with the actual restaurant, the phone that's used is awful and staticky. Many times when I've called this is what my phone call turns into. "WHAT?!" I scream into the phone then repeat my order. This goes on for several minutes sometimes. It's not the person who I'm talking to, it's the phone. Also, although I do enjoy the chicken strippers and fries, I have to mention a horrifying experience I had with them. One day while eating them after they were devil weed delivered to my house, I found an extremely long, thick black hair cooked into one of the chicken strips. It was disgusting and I refused eat any more of it. But because I am certifiably insane, I still return to this location and continue to order this meal because it's so dang good. I could do without the soggy coleslaw though. I haven't encountered any more nightmare inducing hairs, but it left me a bit scarred. As a side note, a certain high up, quite respected and a bit feared employee of the local elementary school has been spotted on multiple occasions sitting at the bar at this place downing a huge amount of beers. Maybe this explains his anger explosions and erratic behavior at the school he works at. Bye. Sue = No Copyright Brandon...
Read moreThe pizza was good; the server was nice. But our experience was marred by the fact that it took almost an hour, as dine-in guests, for two small pizzas. One came out wrong: instead of light on the ranch dressing, they drowned the pizza in it. When we tried to complain to management (the wife/owner), the husband/owner came storming out of the kitchen instead. Despite only having a few other tables with diners, he tried to tell me they were very busy. I looked at him in disbelief. He clarified that their delivery business was very busy, AND, that they prioritize their delivery customers over their eat-in guests. I watched their ONE delivery driver go out twice during our wait with a single bag each time. Complete and utter BS. For our inconvenience, they very grudgingly gave us 15% off our bill, but made us feel like it was our fault that we had to wait so long. Seriously?!? Never going...
Read moreOrder pizza last night for delivery. Person who took the order said delivery was taking about 45 minutes. Ok fine that is usually their Average. 2 hours later they had not delivered our food yet. I called them back and they said they texted the driver would be there in 10 minutes. Now we are going on 2 1/2 hours waiting for our food. I called back to cancel my order. The manager said oh no please don't do that I will give you your meal for free. Let me refund your money. I don't see a refund on my account yet but perhaps it takes a couple days. Not a question of the money it's the principle of it. Who wants to wait 2 1/2 hours for their food. Since it was bought by new owners a couple years ago quality and service have gone down hill. We will not order from them again. Enough resteraunts around where we do not need...
