I get it! Sometimes you have bad days, but when things go wrong you do your best to make things right by correcting the area you didn't have so much success in. My problem started Saturday afternoon in the drive thru. The person taking my order asked me what I wanted which as a long time customer service professional my first thought was this person has had a loooong day. So first impression is not so friendly but in any case I didn't hold it against her. Long days with the public can make you a ZOMBIE. What I did count against her was how she approached the order I made. I was there to order for 5 people and I felt rushed! Now this was a relatively large order but not anything off menu or with special instructions so I expected ALOT more patience. After every item and Or statement towards to the order such as meal size or quantity she would follow with; "Okay is that all for you today." This was said sooo many times I thought my head was going to roll off from all the repetitivness! Now if your are going to rush your customer then you better be dishing out those orders as soon as the customer pays... One would think right? My family and I waited 40 mins!!! They had us pull forward and wait. About 8 to 12 mins into the wait the gentleman at the second window appeared outside our vehicle to ask what our order was then disappeared back into the store never to be seen by us again. We had to go inside to advise the staff of the issue only for one of them to state that they had bagged the order already! In the end because we were rushed we forgot to order one item that we had to order while we waited for the original order to be remade and they still forgot the sweet and sour sauce which EVERY McDonalds is famous for add to that the food was not properly prepared and our drinks were watery by the time we were able to fully check out. This place is terrible and this is the first bad review I have written about a resturant experience in Suffolk. I hope that this location has an authoritve figure that examines their reviews and discusses these issues with the staff to become better at recognizing and overcoming...
Read moreWhen I was a little kid McDonalds served hamburgers, French frys, soft drinks and of course shakes. As I recall only those items, as I recall.
Mostly the soft drinks were coke because diet coke didn't exist then. An Orange soda which may have been a brand was also served. I'm not sure about a Root Beer, maybe.
Oh yea, I think they had coffee but I'm not sure. We're talking 55 years ago if not more. Yea, I'm old but I digress.
Anyway, it was such a big deal to go to McDonald's back then my Mother would tell us not to tell our brothers and sisters when we got home we ate at McDonald's! The other kids would be upset, missing out on such a treat!
In many ways McDonald's is still that special place where we went as kids even with a pandemic raging around the area. McDonald's is ready to take care of us, their customers, in spite of covid19.
Breakfast all day, just getting out after a 10 AM church service is great but all day.
The selection of sandwiches is everything from super sized to the simple and elegant burger. And fish or chicken along with beef and I can't count the number of beverages to choose from.
And yet they serve it all up safely so we, the customers, are safe and still well fed.
Worldwide still number 1 feeding us on the fly with safe drive up windows and well cooked food.
So now I pick up my phone and I tease my little sisters that I'm at McDonald's having an ice cream before I eat my lunch.
And they're still upset to miss out on that treat...
Read moreOverall not a great experience. Was on my way to visit my cousin and stopped to get 2 of her kids a happy meal with pokemon toys. I had seen the advertisements and stopped because the kids collected the cards. I was excited to see there was no line and pulled up to order, only to have no response from an employee. I waited for 1-2 minutes without talking to a crew member and then pulled out of line thinking the machine wasn't working and then tried the other order line and still didn't get a response. After another 30 seconds someone finally talked over the intercom and was laughing as they told me they would be with me in a minute. After about a minute I put in my order and pulled forward to the window to pay. After I paid for the food another employee walked up to the window and whispered to the drive thru employee. The drive thru employee responded "there are no kids." (at the time I didn't realize they were talking about us). I then pulled forward and collected the food. After reaching my destination I learned that part of my order was incorrect and the kids did not receive the advertised pokemon toys. Overall a...
