The place is a real dive from the outside, and when we walked in at 5:30 the dining room was empty but for a sign that said “no waitress tonight, see bartender for service.” We went in and found a table. The room was dimly lit, but not in a bad way. We had taken a picture of the specials on our way in and everything sounded good, but then a gal - the bartender? - popped in from another room and handed us one of the most extensive menus I’ve ever seen. It was honestly hard to decide, everything from frog legs to veal marsala, to deep fried burgers. We got a fresh mozzarella and tomato plate for the table, I got the crab stuffed mushrooms, my husband the French dip, and son the chili Mac with tots. No one left hungry! The service was slow but she warned of that, said it was just her and one cook running the whole place. We pulled out a deck of cards and played a game while we waited. They kindly brought our son’s food out first when it was ready. By the time we left at 7:00 every table was full and I can see why. What a fun little hidden gem!

I hate to judge a book by its cover but this place is definitely an exception to my rule. A perfect example of a restaurant with too big of scope. 50+ menu items. I'd rather see less items that are done well. We were seated directly under a dusty old loud air conditioner. Our waitress proceeded to turn it up immediately after we sat down. The coke was flat and tasted watered down. The waitress did not care and was inattentive the whole time. My chicken Parm was tough and chewy. The marinara tasted like it came out of a can. The chicken cheese steak was bland. Overall a terrible experience.

I was really excited to come here because the build your own mac and cheese sounded really good. Unfortunately i found a long hair in my salad , I found it after i had taken a bite of food and really didn't want to get any more food from there. It was not mine because i3 have no hair. They kept advising me that people cooking wore bandanas and had no idea how it happened. On the plus it did look like a cozy place but i dont think I'll be trying this place again

Nice atmosphere, very friendly staff. The menu had a lot to choose from and the portions were large. I had the crab stuffed mushrooms to start. Tons of stuffing with a nice amount of real crab in it. Great flavor but they were a little dry.

I ordered the grilled turkey sandwich for my main course. The turkey was cooked perfectly, moist and delicious with the melted mozzerella. It was supposed to come with Russian dressing, but it was missing from the sandwich but it was still delicious. I'm not a fan of ciabbata bread, but theirs was great.

I also brought home an order of the Buffalo fried oysters and hot wings. The oysters were amazing, even reheated. The wings... they have a good flavor and you can tell the chef knows what he/she is doing, but I do prefer mine a bit on the crispier side, so next time I'll ask for that.

All in all, a great little place. Definitely a diamond in the rough. For a Friday night, I thought they'd be busier than they were, people are definitely missing out not being there.

I will definitely be back, hopefully next time I get the Russian...

So terribly sad to say this, but we will never return. We have been loyally coming back time after time but, today is the last due to incredibly risky behavior on behalf of the staff. We could see the place was busy with the bartender doing double duty. She sadly informed us she was supposed to be off but, had to come in because her replacement was too ill. She then proceeded to tell us she was so busy, she called him in and he is propped up at the bar. Well, just a few moments later my husband's a meal was carried out...you guessed it, hand delivered by THE ILL PERSON! We summoned the original server over asking what kind of ill was it. She responded, "oh, it's not the flu, He just ate something bad yesterday". Well, he handled the plate, the steak knife and the whole scenario completely grossed us out! Cross contamination is a high and immediate risk here, 💩Montezuma's revenge comes to mind! Not a risk I am willing to take! So incredibly sad because I loved the...
