drove over an hour to visit, and this is probably one of the most overpriced pokemon tcg shops i’ve ever been in, the pricing on some of their items make 0 sense. i will gladly never step foot in this store again.
check my reviews for valid shops as I travel and have reviewed valid and other invalid shops like this one, this is a completely legitimate review. take the time to read if you want to be informed-
selling crown zenith sea and sky box that retails for $40 and is widely available at that price rn, for $70 in store
selling $10 astral radiance sleeved packs which is available for $3.99 on pokemon center
selling $10 vivid voltage sleeved packs available for $3.99 on pokemon center
selling 10 cent bulk common reverse holos for $3 a piece(the most common and undesired)
slabs are honestly decent pricing, but it’s all lower end. not much to be desired there.
there is nothing convenient or correct about this price gouging. you can order this same product online and get it shipped to your door for a fraction of the cost. something is shady about the people running this shop. i watched them offer $5 on $20 worth of cards- they will probably turn around and price them $20 a piece based off the other shop pricing. i have never seen something so out of touch, this shop makes other bad shops look VERY GOOD in comparison .
if you care about your wallet i would avoid. they obviously source product lower than the actual market price when buying and when you come here and buy stuff you are getting absolutely wrecked by the pricing. i would guess if anyone is buying here they don’t know any better. shop elsewhere. i definitely am. i can’t believe this place is in...
Read moreThe shop is in an obscure location and is too intimate to host a card show/expo or occupy for a card shop. I recently attended their Saturday (09/07) expo, and it was the least amount of foot traffic I've seen in my years of attending these sort of events. For example, the showing occurred in the attachment of a fitness studio that neighbors the card shop. As a result, you were to navigate through two narrow hallways to perform your setup or navigate to the event. It was very awkward for vendors and customers to attend. The customers that I spoke with were unaware that the event was even occurring, and most of the deals being performed were between vendors. For example, I was asked by multiple vendors that they would like to purchase my full setup at a reduced price. I'm not in the hobby to become rich quick and more to attend to selling trading card products to customers at a decent price. Additionally, I find it odd that at one point, the owners of the card shop used vendor setups to promote their own store and no opportunity for said vendors to plug their own information. Overall, I'd suggest visiting/attending other card shows/shops because they are a dime a dozen these days.
P.S.
You can obviously see how cramped the location is and how little the turnout was in the photo attached.
Update:
They attempted to clean up their response because their original reply was not professional. I thought I would add their original response and show an example of how...
