The gravy for the Rst Bf Manhattan's was not dark brown but a gold/tan color and tasted horrible. Sent it back, not the first time in doing that either, but thought we'd see if it had changed...not. The owner didn't even come and ask us anything about the meal. As people that have worked in this industry, me, retired 2 yrs ago from full time, I'm 58....Terry is a chef and has worked in restaurants since he was 18, he's 60. The owner, manager or cook/chef should've come to ask what the problem was and try to fix it. But instead the owner was only concerned if we were tipping the waitress, when Terry went up to pay the bill. We had to pay the full bill, they gave no breaks whatsoever, sad. My family of 6 is in town to visit family for the holidays. My husband, 4 kids and I met an old school friend for breakfast. Towards the end of the meal, my 12, 10 and 8 year old went to the restroom. On the way back to the table they spotted the gaming room and mistakenly thought it was for kids. As they approached a man that works for this establishment told my kids that "you can't go in there, there are cameras and if you go in the police will come for you". Believe me, I don't mind my children being corrected and kept out of that room, but threatening well-behaved kids with the police was overkill to say the least. This place is about as bad as it gets for Sullivan, Illinois. I recently ordered liver and onions, a country favorite in these parts, and was not impressed to say the least. It was supposed to come with two sides. I ordered the potatoes and gravy and didn’t receive either. Furthermore, I ordered wine from the menu and was told after my meal they didn’t have wine.
