DO NOT EAT HERE. I am not sure why this place has any good reviews. We a Family of 6 went to have breakfast before leaving for home. We placed orders for coffee, and the creamer was bad, all of it, was expired 4 days prior and after it curdled in our coffee and we requested a new cup of coffee she then supplied more expired creamers which we refused to use, they didnt have any hot chocolate which was on the menu, so one of us who ordered it ordered Chocolate milk instead, when the bad creamers came again I ask for some milk, she told me with an attitude that she used all the milk already to make "that cup of chocolate milk" So rude. We changed our drinks, there were two other tables waiting for their food when we arrived 25 minutes later she still didn't clean the table where the bad coffee was spilled, the water and the ice tea both tasted horrible. I heard the one table go ask how much longer for their food order and they were told 20-25 minutes, she said they were already there an hour, so they left, we heard this and thought WOW for 3 people it's going to take an hour and a half and how long will it take to get ours? The table behind us had 7 people they got up and left, there was a couple sitting there and they got up and left, we then decided we were going to leave as well, and I went to pay for our drinks, mind you, we had to change 3 of our drinks that were coffee to something else. $14.05 for 6 drinks, because she charged us for the changed drinks as well, I was shocked and thought you should have said don't worry about it, which would have been the decent thing to do, but I paid we did order them. This is the worst experience of a restaurant I have ever had. I am literally contacting the Health Department in that area to go check this place out, who gives customers expired creamer and has no alternative such as Milk. This has to be a dirty place that is extremely mismanaged. I can only think that any "Good Reviews" this place has it from it's own damn owners or employees. 4 tables of people got up and walked out within the same hour we did. I do not recommend this place to anyone and I only gave it one star because I had to give something. I contacted Nicholas County Dept of Health about this place it needs to...
Read moreA great small town diner. The food is well prepared and the staff friendly and attentive. However, as a café they are lacking. If you just want a simple cup of coffee or a basic moca, no problem. But I wouldn't order anything fancy. I asked for a red eye, they didn't know what it was. So I explained that it's a shot of espresso in a cup of coffee. She then proceeded to put cream in it. I asked if that was mine, because I didn't ask for cream. She said "oh I'm sorry" and had to make it again. On the second attempt I asked if she could make it an iced coffee still with the shot. And she asked me "what's an iced coffee? " I explained that it's just coffee with ice. So she nearly fills the cup with coffee, adds the shot and now there is no room for ice. So instead of grabbing a bigger cup to transfer the beverage over ice she dumps the a bit of it out and adds the ice... rather than explain that she probably just dumped my shot out that was probably on top. I just payed and got out of there... I only have tea when I go there now and get my...
Read moreI can not stress enough how much I do not recommend this restaurant. Seriously, I would suggest you take your family to the nearest gas station and eat the scraps off of the floor as opposed to providing Fran’s with your business. We started our order with three waters with lemon slices. I have never tasted such rancid water in my life. I’m still left genuinely dumbfounded over the fact that Fran’s managed to make something as simple as water taste bad. One of their daily specials was the shrimp Alfredo, which ended up costing about $13. Most people would insinuate that an Alfredo dish would come with fettuccine noodles, however, Fran’s once again blew our expectations out of the water and did the unthinkable. I legitimately could not tell whether or not the sad soup noodles provided were part of an ongoing, one-sided joke or not. By the time we received our other orders, we could only then conclude, that Fran’s is just a god-awful location that I would not recommend to anyone unless they seek entertainment by ironically attending putrid...
