Bone Island Grille — Restaurant in Summit Township

I don't even want to give it a star. I waited 40 minutes to get my food. I was there about and hour and didn't even get my food. The waitress acknowledged me as if I was just some inconvenience to her. Kept telling me she would "be with us in just one second she just had to finish with another customers oder and she'd be right with us" after about 15 minutes of sitting there being ignored we finally got out order taken and 10 minutes after that we got our appetizer and drinks. Which we didn't even get the 1/2 lb of peel shrimp that we ordered and the cocktail sauce was not good nor where the shrimp de veined. After finishing our not even 1/4 lb of shrimp we got after wanting 1/2 lb, we waited while being told again and again as she walked passed us "I'll be right back with your food after I get this couple their drinks." 40 minutes of waiting for our food that never came we just decided we'd be better off going somewhere else than recieving cold food and waiting another 40 minutes than eat there. We visited Jackson Mi for a weekend getaway. Our Airbnb rental was right down the road. We opted to visit here because we arrived late.

Pros: Loved the Christmas lights out front in February made the place look great and almost fit the theme.

Theme of the restaurant inside was very cool. You can tell they tried really hard on the decor.

Bathrooms were clean.

Service was fast and helpful.

We arrived and waitress mentioned that the kitchen is slower than normal before we got menus. Very appreciated.

Food didn't take a long time to arrive.

Everyone enjoyed their meals. I had a BBQ pork Mac and cheese wrap, wife had an egg hash brown burger (excellent), friends had steak and the other BLT sandwich.

Staff friendly.

Cons: Entrance door outside we were not sure what door to go into. One side is bar the other side is family room. That should be easier to tell for non locals.

Waitress Amanda was awesome!! I have been coming here for awhile now but have not been able to visit in 9 months or so. I was very surprised when I returned. My family and I came in about 4pm just before the dinner rush. Our waitress was Amanda and she was amazing. She was very kind and caring. She listened extremely well. She even entertained my littles whenever there was a spare second, or they got impatient from us ordering. Usually when my 3 yr old gets loud we get scouls from folks but here we did not and she was very inventive on how to keep her busy. She would randomly make faces at her while she walked by making my youngest laugh and giggle. Amanda also made sure our food was well prepared and anything we needed at all she made sure to get for us. She spent some time chatting with us (adults) about things and we all had a very good time going there. Definitely our favorite spot now. She needs a raise!!
