Good food and good service are hard to find and that is certainly true here! Y'all know I have to tell the truth and here's what happened. I dined in and I ordered the 3-piece Pollard Dinner w/fried Okra and Broccoli. Kelli (if that's her name) brought with her someone's food and one major attitude to my table. In a very loud and condescending voice and as mean and as nasty as she could ask, "Who's order is this?" looking at me. I said I ordered fish, Pollard. She replies, "We don't sell that"! WHAAAT?!!! Then I asked what kind of fish she had in which she replied, "Flounder". I told her I did not order Flounder. Then the people at the table she bypassed on her way to me claimed their food. WOW!
Hang in there...it gets better. When she finally did bring my order I asked her what kind of fish she was giving me she replied Pollard! WHAAAT!!! the Funky Monkey?!!! I could see and hear that Kelli was already in a high and agitated state so I just accepted the cold Broccoli, greasy fish, and great tasting fried Okra. Needless to say, I ate the Okra and took the rest to go.
Don't waste your time or money here. The food is not worth your money and you certainly don't want to waste your time being disrespected, under appreciated and not being treated with plain common courtesy just for being a customer.
The photos below are the actual Flounder and Pollard Dinners, and yes, that's actually Kelli. What's that black stuff on my...
Read moreI have never experienced the service I got at Captain D’S tonight awful. Jacob his name told me that this fish is expectable for $15. There was nothing he could do. He did not offer to recook. Did not offer to add extra or nothing. Fish looks like it has been cut in half. Oh and it supposed to be Catfish. Another employee said it was catfish but it was not cooked and dipped right, so she offered to cook more fish. I’m going out to my car with the food that wasn’t right to get my phone so I can take a picture. This Jacob dude follows behind me heading out towards the door and said hey you need to give that food back in order for me to cook more. I took that bag and threw it on the counter and it hit the floor. The night manager comes from the back saying I will give you your money back and I told her I was posting this. She told me why don’t you tell them how you threw the food at my employee She told me she should call the police on me for throwing that bag at her employee. I told her I threw it on the counter and it hit the floor. This is a $15 plate small pieces of catfish that didn’t look like catfish at all. Customer service was horrible between this young boy and the night manager wasn’t no better. I will never go back to that Captain D’S on Liberty Street in Sumter SC. This is how this food was served. Not saying I was keeping some food but who does that follow a customer. Are you serious??...
Read moreI'd give y'all a 0 if I could. Whoever is running the drive thru at this location tonight (12-5-22 @ 7:15 p.m.) is super rude. My husband asked about the gumbo being spicy and the girl taking the order didn't answer the first time so he repeated himself. She then became snappy with him when she decided to answer the question and said she didn't know because she doesn't eat gumbo. Little did she know, it was for our one year old son! (because he can't chew anything off the children's menu and clearly can't ask nor answer anyone for himself) Instead of being rude to the ones that help support a paycheck, go ask another co-worker if they know anything about the food on the menu or politely respond to the customer that you're unsure of something. Not once were we rude to this girl. It doesn't cost a thing to be nice to someone even if you're having a rough day. Please work on the customer service. Needless to say, we left mid-order and won't be...
