Ward's Barbeque. I mean I could really just stop there right? For those of you have not had Ward's BBQ then I'm sorry because you haven't lived.
The flavors, the tenderness, the rice at the with perfect amount of fluff. We've all had barbecue before and the rice was just a little crunchy. I don't know about you but I can't stand that. It completely throws off the whole meal whenever the rice is not perfectly tender.
It's definitely hard not to think about that mouthwatering tangy slow cooked pig. It would be nice to have Ward's everyday but unfortunately not all locations are open everyday.
Let me talk to you about what really makes Ward's the best barbeque place in town. It's people. They are the best example of good ol fashioned Southern Hospitality. Warm welcome with a warm smile everytime you come through those doors!

Went to this Wards bbq this past Sunday. It was only 1 of 3 locations open on Sunday. It was after 2pm and they were going to be closed next 2 days so I was a bit concerned about it being fresh. Well it was absolutely delicious. I’m a northerner visiting my son but I do like my bbq, especially Carolina style. Got the Pulled pork platter with all the fixings. Xtra sauce on pork was offered and accepted, so good. The rice n hash was a first for me and was excellent. Sides of slaw & potato salad were very good and fresh. Friend took me here for lunch which was great because I had wanted to try place. I was disappointed in chicken platter I had with little chicken breast and the tiniest wing I had ever seen attached to breast. Did not like BBQ sauce tasted like it had mustard in it when told it didn't have mustard in sauce. I'm allergic to mustard. Friend enjoyed pork sandwich and it looked good. Didn't care how they kept and served food. Women behind counter did not seem like (clean) people which turned my stomach.
