Very unfortunate experience. We have eaten here many times in the past without issue and have come to make it one of our favorite stops when driving through Sunnyside. Today however will be the last time we ever visit this establishment. My family arrived right before 3:30 and were seated with lunch menus. After a ten minute or more wait, the waitress/(owner?) approached to take our order. When we ordered from the lunch menu she immediately became hostile saying that we shouldn't have those menus because lunch is over at 3:30. I indicated that we had been waiting for a while and she began screaming that she "had us on camera" and she "knows what we are trying". I attempted to diffuse the situation calmly, indicating that it was fine and we could order from the regular menu as I slid the lunch menus to her as across the table. After picking up the lunch menus she again began screaming that I "threw menus at her". Keep in mind these are two single sheets of small paper that were slid halfway across a table. At this point I decided the food wasn't good enough to endure this type of abuse. She proceeded to scream at us as my wife and I left with our small child, repeating that we are disrespectful and are "on camera". I've never been one to discourage someone from supporting a small business, but this is the worst experience I've ever had at...
Read moreOur waitress was excellent, kind and funny. She made the meal enjoyable. We ordered a "family" meal for two. The Appetizers were good. The hot and sour soup was okay. It needed more chili and vinegar. But it was edible. The main meal was mediocre. The lowmein was good but needed WAY more vegetables. The chicken was tender and sliced properly. But it was not excellent, only good. The Mongolian beef was terrible. The meat was chewy, not tender. The flavor was all wrong. Not like any we had ever had before. It is something my husband and I often order. This doesn't taste right at all. The rice...when did restaurants stop frying fried rice? They make it brown with a sauce or soy. That is so sad. I remember real fried rice. This rice stuff isn't even worth the calories. Although I must mention the pork in the rice was excellent. So, would we eat here again?...
Read moreSo, let's just say that I have had Chinese food all across the west coast and the South, and this place just knocked it out of the park. The pork fried rice is some of the best I've had (not too dry, not too greasy, and perfectly seasoned). Their General Tso's Chicken had the perfect balance of tangy and heat, and the veggies are a nice touch (not too many, but not so few that you're like "are you lost, little broccoli floret?"). We had a large order (big family dinner) and every single item was as ordered. Nothing incorrect or shorted, and it was boxed/bagged with care to not spill. I'm sorry I didn't take photos (was too busy eating) but this is definitely my new "Go-To" for Chinese food since I'm back...
