Let me preface this by mentioning I'm from NY, and in the rare instance I actually find a bagel place down here in the South, I can expect to find that the bagels are nothing close to the yumminess back home on Long Island. But this is not the case when it comes to The Bagel Bakery. I used this location for a client meeting and planned to just get a cup of coffee. Upon entering, it felt like I walked into a bakery from back home and the atmosphere immediately put me in my happy place. The staff greeted me in a genuine way and seemed so happy to be at work, and you could see their bubbly personalities were affecting their customers in a positive way. I got my coffee and sat down to wait for my client. Oh. My. Goodness. I drank my coffee and it was easily some of the best coffee I've ever had! I knew I had to get another cup to bring home to my husband before leaving! My client arrived and the meeting went well, and even though I had only gotten a cup of coffee, an employee went above and beyond and came over to make sure I had everything I needed and let me know where there was an outlet located in case I needed it. After my client left, I went to order a cup of coffee for my husband. I contemplated if I should order some bagels as well, and chance ruining such a great experience... I chanced it. I ordered us two everything bagels- one with butter and one with cream chesse- both lightly toasted; and I ordered our son a blueberry bagel with cream cheese also lightly toasted. I arrive home with The Bagel Bakery goodies in-hand and distribute accordingly. This is it. The moment of truth... Perfection! Our mouths are full of yummy perfection! Guys, this pace is the real deal! We'll definitely be...
Read moreA friend took me here years ago and I fell in love with their everything bagels! ...that is until I found out they served everything rolls! Oh my goodness, so good! So now I frequent their drive thru window fairly often (I usually call them when I know I'm going to be passing by and they make my bacon/egg/cheese roll to go for me). They have flavored cofees that they rotate (my fav has been the Hawaiian Hazelnut); they do iced cofee too that I love; they will run lunch specials with deli sandwhiches which include a side and drink that I'll try once in a while; and they have these "frequent flyer"cards they stamp with each sandwhich/bagel purchase after ordering 10 your 11th is free. So cool; AND When I bring my pup with me they give her a huge bone- a sweet touch to the experience! Everyone is very kind/smiley and It rests well with me knowing that I'm buying locally instead of visiting a chain. They do get VERY busy during the typical eating times so I try to go when I think the crowd has thinned out. Today I went at 10:30 and had no wait. Oh and really cool- today I found out that if you bring your own coffee cup/travel mug they will refill it for only $1! So my coffee and bfast sandwich is $ 4.50 total. So awesome! A great little secret bagel stop/sandwhich shop along 17 in Hampstead across from the Exxon gas station at country club and in the shopping plaza next to the pizza place; finding the drive thru is tricky bc people park behind the building so I once waited for 10 minutes before realizing that I was waiting behind a parked car, lol... Anyways IF YOU'RE LOOKING FOR A QUICK DELICIOUS BITE TO EAT then you...
Read moreThis place truly deserves 5 stars everything is always fresh and amazing, but because of the staff they had there today 3 is all I can do. I called my order in as always went to the window so I wouldn't have to fight with my toddler going in there, it took at least 5 min for someone to come to the window and there was no one in the line inside. I know at least 4 people walked back and forth and looked me in the eye and not the first one came to see if someone had taken my order or if I called it in. We'll lesson learned, food was cold, she gave no apology either but knew she was in the wrong cause she was trying to offer cookies before I just simply drove off!! skip bagel basket all the way or go before 11am when there's people working who actually know what they're doing. I'm a regular and hate writing this but the staff you had today around 1130 will have a lot of regulars...
