Black Rock Coffee Has Lost Its Way
I used to love Black Rock Coffee for its bold brews, friendly vibe, and reasonable prices. But lately, it feels like the company has lost touch with what made it special. Prices have skyrocketed across the menu — we're talking $6–$8 for a basic drink, and even more for customizations that used to be free or low-cost. What was once an affordable daily stop now feels like a luxury splurge.
Worse, the quality and portions haven’t improved to justify the price hikes. In fact, the drinks often seem watered down, and staff appear rushed — a clear sign of a business prioritizing volume and profit over consistency and service.
Black Rock seems more focused on rapid expansion and profit margins than on customer loyalty or value. It’s disappointing to see a company that built its brand on community and accessibility slowly turn into another money-hungry chain. Unless things change, they risk pushing away the loyal base that helped build them up in the first place.

Read moreStopped in Saturday morning on the way to some sports activities in the area. Fuel for the long day! We were a bit crunched for time so we opted for the empty drive thru. This location has only been open about a week and I don’t think everyone has caught on yet. There is still a fence around the area, but the area to pull in the driveway open. I ordered a vanilla latte as well an energy drink. Service at the window was friendly and our drinks were made well.
