Update to my review from 2 years ago. Gave it another try Saturday around 5 p.m. Was with my boyfriend and my two children. Waited several minutes to be seated, no problem. Something must have been happening in the kitchen cause the entire dining area was smoky. We asked our server if she could open the windows near us and it seemed to help. We ordered the calamari which was good. Then we placed our dinner orders and my boyfriend ordered another drink which never came. Our main courses took FOREVER to arrive and when they did, the runner brought mine and my kids' but not my boyfriends. She didn't say "be right back with yours", just walked away. We waited a few minutes thinking they would be right back with his dish but no one came so I had to go find someone to let them know he didn't receive his food. (We had no clue where our server was. She basically disappeared for the rest of our dinner). Also, my daughter asked for fries instead of the yucca chips but her dish arrived with yucca chips. We told the food runner and she went back and took what was clearly someone else's order of fries - they were truffle parmesan, not what we asked for so my daughter didn't even eat them. When we got the check, they charged us for the drink that my boyfriend didn't receive and also for a drink that I never ordered or received. The people at the table next to us were also getting antsy and wondering what was going on because when they finally got their food, it was wrong. We were speaking with them and they had been there for an hour an a half and still didn't have their dinners. I felt bad for the several tables that had children with them. That is a looonnnggg time to keep your kids from going nuts. Only redeeming thing was that the salmon I ordered was delicious and my daughter said her lobster roll was one of the best she has ever eaten. We've eaten here a handful of times and I don't think the service has ever been good. It's a shame because the food is...
Read moreWe had come here once before and sat at the bar. We had the brunch which we were happy with. The service was great, and the food was good.
We went back this past Saturday, we were greeted with the blank stare from the hostess, and we asked for a Booth, and after a minute or two of three girls looking at what I presume was a seating chart, We were finally sat at a table and not a booth.
We ordered the brunch, and we were served a plate of home fries and focaccia bread that comes with the brunch. The focaccia bread was delicious, but the home fries were cold. When I brought this to the servers attention, I was told that’s just how they are. I asked if they could be heated and she told us that they didn’t have a microwave. I asked if they could be heated in the oven or the fryer and she said “let me go check” and they ended up making us a new order that was hot. we asked for more bread but never got it.
We ordered the French toast and waffles which were both cold, not warm at all, but at room temperature. We asked for another order which came out the same way, Room temperature at best.
The eggs Benedict that we ordered were also cold, but we ate them as they were and they tasted good.
The Peppermill that the server brought was covered with dust on the top and completely sticky all around. I brought this to her attention and she wiped off the top of the Peppermill.
I asked the server if the maple syrup was real maple or just pancake syrup and was told “it’s maples syrup, I don’t know if it’s real or not”. I asked if it was just maple flavored she said I don’t know. She did not offer to check with someone, just “I don’t know”.
We also got the Carnitas hash and fish tacos, which were good, and the view was beautiful.
There is some real potential for a great experience here but they missed the...
Read moreI recently visited this restaurant to celebrate a birthday, and unfortunately, the experience fell quite short. Despite making a reservation online several days in advance, the hostess was unable to locate our booking. We were then offered a high-top table, which was not ideal for our group, especially with an infant in tow. After some discussion, 6 adults were crammed into a round booth table meant for four or five people, with the child seated awkwardly at the end in a high chair.
The brunch menu was underwhelming and confusing. Bread and butter and home-fries arrive on the table before anything else. The food itself was mediocre at best—with the quality of hospital fare. Like everything was reheated or slapped together. The ordering system didn’t make much sense either; some dishes arrived individually, while others were served family-style. A majority of the menu consists of overcooked poached eggs in different configurations, and then tacos and I think I saw pierogi. Very weird. The French toast was nothing more than toast covered in powdered sugar with cinnamon butter and no syrup, and the sweet potato hash was essentially mushy, wet baby food. A side of bacon or sausages will set you back $7 because they aren’t included in the all you can eat brunch. Additionally there were only two gluten-free options on the entire brunch menu.
By the time our server came around the second time, we gave up on the brunch menu and started ordering from the regular menu, even though it meant we were paying an extra $20 per person for a more satisfying meal. Unfortunately, we still left hungry and disappointed. Some restaurants should never do brunch. This is simply a cash grab.
On a positive note, the view was lovely, but overall, I won’t be returning for brunch ever and I suggest anywhere else...
