Gridiron Sports Bar — Restaurant in Swansea

Im just being critical beacause this place seems to be lacking in some small things and that might kill a vibe for new comers who may or may not want to come back. I like going here so it won’t stop me unless I have more issues I see The main reason why I am writing this is the bathroom and main entry way needs some serious cleaning procedure. It smells stale and dirty and unkept. I think the wear and tear and how old it is may just need to throw some cash into it to modernize.

Pros. Good bar for keno, tables are clean. Staff seems to care. Seems to bring in regulars, seems like arcade games are the main care.

Cons: having staff food out in the open of guest, Menu should be smaller, I’dk if my meal was frozen but Any special should be freshly prepared,

No urinal cakes in urinals, bathroom smells like stale odor

I went I’ve been on the left side of the pub. I don’t understand why it is split it just seems like a waste of money to have 2 bars open. When it is dead on a Thursday afternoon around 530.

Overall would give another try if it gets the treatment the restaurant deserves. It’s a miss if this place goes to waste beacause of daily cleaning and attractiveness. Just need to be more attentive . I’m just glad the dining areas wear clean and not dirty. Aka no food...

Have been here twice now and was pleasantly surprised both times. The French onion soup is really delish! Portions are great, prices are fair, and there is something for everyone on their menu. The service on our first visit was "meh" but on our second visit it was much improved.

The biggest downside is that we have a 3 month old daughter and the Gridiron doesn't have a changing station in their bathrooms. Our server was nice enough to let me change her in a dining room that wasn't currently being used but still...not safe for my Sweet P and not sanitary for anyone who ends up sitting at the table I used (although, I am a clean freak and was very careful not to let anything touch the table...i did use a large changing pad and placed the dirty diaper in a diaper throw away bag...but still, not everyone will be as careful/cleanly as me.)

We will be back, but probably won't...

For anyone who enjoys coming to this restrauant, please ALWAYS check your credit card statements when you leave because the waitress added a 20 % tip to my 2 bills after being tipped pretty well, and I had to prove to the manager that her worker robbed me. Now after working 9 hours, I leave to prove this manager, and she STILL tells me I must be incorrect, it must be my bank. And she has to call THEM because somehow in the 2 years I've owned my card, this has NEVER happened but it's definitely my bank she says. Very rudely I must add. Very displeased with the customer service of the manager. Very rudely through this whole ordeal. So please so no one else goes through this hassle please always check if you can before you...
