Ski's All American Pub — Restaurant in Sycamore Township

Very disappointed with the service that was given last night. She forgot a drink in the very beginning. W.e things happen. We get the fish fry, finish. I want more, she brings out more. At this point we are out of drinks, visibly. I think only my husband got another. When I finish the second bit of fish she comes over and very rudely snatches the basket off the table not checking on us, not saying a word, i dont even think she looked at us. She took it and b-lined for the kitchen we didnt even have a chance to ask for our drinks let alone be asked how we were doing or if we wanted more. We thought she'd come back and ask if we'd like more fish (cause I never got that option anymore, she never came back to our table.) We sat for no less than 30 minutes longest 45 because at that point we got up and just wanted to leave. Already sobered up just waiting for her to come back to the table, we were drinking the water that the ice turned into. Loved that she would make eye contact with us then go into the kitchen and come back out with a box to go stock the bar. For sure 2 boxes before i got upset that we were forgotten about while being looked at. Very sad and it's not like we were in the corner where you can't see us we were up front. Some people have off days but this felt on purpose. Since the start of our interation she was rude and couldn't put a smile on her face. Yall weren't even busy! Bar wasn't even full. I think it was the man from the kitchen that actually noticed us b4 she did. Food was amazing just wish I could have eaten more of the bottomless fish fry. I can't remember her name, not like I'd want to. The blonde behind the bar was so sweet. The brunette needs a lil more training on her social skills, people skills, or maybe just let someone know your having a bad day or need help. It's not a terrible thing to ask for help. I would have rather had random staff come to our table and still give service rather than sitting being forgetton. Wasted our time, do...

Called in to see if they do deliveries A clever gentleman answered the phone and said : Skis Abortion Clinic, where no fetus can beat us ! I could hear laughter in the background.. I simply ignored it and asked if they do delivery and he hung up on me. So i called again, this time a lady answered. She said they are done doing deliveries for the night. I then mentioned to her what happened 30 seconds ago when i called in the first time and she accused me of prank calling them (Obviously in on it) and hung up on me again.

Someone more sensitive might take serious offense to this. Management might want to talk to their employees and tell them to ease off the booze while on the job or maybe just work on basic manners.

Even after all this nonsense i still want the food and would have walked down the street for some pizza but when you hang up on me twice and make me look like a fool.. i don't think i feel comfortable actually showing up there or giving my money to a place that behaves like they...

This one is difficult to decide 3 or 4 stars. The Owners are awesome. The staff is always been friendly. They have a great area to throw darts. There's a jukebox and gambling machines. The bar is nice sized. The outside sitting area is very nice, under utilized by the Owner. ie. Never seen live music? Therefore, the patio is under appreciated and that's a shame. The food is average. I've yet to find that one or two items some, or most bars have that are the slightly above average bar food. And this is the difficult one to say, ie 3 stars. There's always that inner sense, that uneasy feeling that there's someone in the bar that is looking for trouble or at any minute that kind of guy or guys are going to walk in. Is this a fair judgment or feeling? Maybe not. But I've been in my fair share of bars over my many years and there's one thing I've learned and that's to trust my instincts. I'll still go to Ski's. But I never feel at home or comfortable. And...
