Taxco Mexican Cuisine — Restaurant in Sycamore Township

The owners are extremely kindhearted and earnest. Ive spoken to them and interacted with them on social media and also went to the cinco de mayo festival they hold in sycamore. Let me tell you it’s an absolute blast and all of the proceeds go to charities that benefit the area. Which props to the owner because that’s pretty freaking awesome. I’ve only been able to make it into the restaurant once with my significant other. But we order from door dash sometimes. When we did go our server was wonderful, it’s really really refreshing to see people care so much about what they do. It’s not very often you find that at least in my experience. She turned me on to this coffee patron tequila and it was excellent. My boyfriend ordered this incredible fish dish that I guess was taken off the menu but since him and the owner are friends he made it for him. It looked amazing and tasted even better. I ordered pork tacos and they were fantastic. Last night I was sick and i couldn’t eat all day. I love soup so I ordered caldo de pollo which is a chicken soup and it was so perfect and hit the spot for me. I ordered my daughter a kids meal which damn let me tell you we had left overs since the portions are very generous. I ordered my significant other some pulled beef tacos and he enjoyed them. If you come here definitely check out their crazy tequila section, they have over 400 kinds of the stuff. You just have to go here and find out for your self what a cool place this is. When your in the mood for great Authentic Mexican food Taxco is the place to go! My whole family loves it (which is a lot in itself because our younger kids can be hard to please). We have had some issues in the past with our orders but the owner is always quick and happy to help and make up for it. The past few times we've ordered, the food has gotten a lot better than it was about 2 years ago. We aren't sure what was going on at that time but it was not the same as it had been a few years ago, until now. They are back with the great flavorful Mexican food We love! We tend to order the same things a lot of the time as they are our favorites, but this is one restaurant that you can definitely try new things and not regret it. My husband usually orders 2 of the Pollo Picoso because he loves it so much and no matter what I order as a dinner, I always order the Sopa Azteca. Don't forget their Tamales (as long as they aren't already sold out) they are amazing! They have freshly made tortillas and if you dine in and want guacamole, they will make it fresh for you at your table. We order take out from here and our food is always still nice and hot by the time we get to sit and eat...
