My husband washes his car nearby and told me about this chicken place he wanted to try. Naturally we looked it up and saw all the AMAZING reviews so we had to give it a try!

I can tell you they did not disappoint...

For one day don't count the calories or the cholesterol, this is worth the cheat day! Save the salad for tomorrow and the next ten days after you eat here cause you'll be needing it!

Fried Chicken A+++ Fried Oreos A+++ Cole Slaw A++ Onion Rings A+++ Spicy Sauce A+++

The crinkle cut fries and the waffle did come soggy/flimsy. However, I believe whenever you order that kind of stuff from anywhere if its delivery it always comes that way from being in the container. I would imagine in person, fresh fresh, it would be a better experience for the fries and waffle. I did create a really tasty chicken waffle sandwich that was amazing!

The buns are nothing to rave about, honestly just a standard bun. Save your calories and carbs for a fried oreo or extra Onion ring in my opinion.

(Suggestion to management to maybe do a biscuit instead of a bun, just a thought!)

My husband and I went all out getting a 12 piece mixed bucket, upgraded to add onion rings and waffle, side of the spicy sauce and friend oreos! Yes, we have leftovers but not of the oreos!

You gotta try this place, hands down. That's...

As a picky eater, I've eaten a lot of chicken tenders in my life - a LOT - and I can confidently say that these are the best I've ever had. I've been here five or six times now, and every time they've been so excellent that I have yet to try anything else on the dinner menu, though I really should (I hear great things about that incredible-looking pork tenderloin that a companion got). The breading is crispy perfection, the chicken is juicy and delicious; I realize I'm sounding like a commercial, but I honestly can't imagine fried chicken getting any better than this. The sides I've tried are great too - the crinkle cut fries maybe don't fare quite as well in a take-out drive on the way home due to unavoidable moisture build-up in the package (but still are solid), but the homemade chips and waffle fries have been excellent every time, both dining in and at home. When dining in (or when picking up food, for that matter), the service has also always been really nice and relaxed from people who like their jobs and make you feel at home. I'm very happy to have such a great place with great people in my town, and it's become my first choice to introduce to my visiting friends.

(By the way, deep-fried Oreos for dessert may look like indulgent, embarrassingly American midwestern carnie food, but you want...

this place has literally been on my must-try list for years. my husband and I happened to be in sycamore and I was thrilled to finally be able to try it. obviously, we mostly went to try the chicken strips and i have to say, after years of drooling over pictures of their food, these did not disappoint! everything was absolutely delicious. it was so refreshing to have chicken that was fresh and didn't taste like a frozen tender from Walmart. the batter on the chicken was perfectly seasoned and crunchy. I also decided to try the fried pickles. this is going to sound odd, but these are something I'm kind of picky about. I don't like breaded pickles and I think pickle chips are usually too thin. these were battered the same as the chicken and were HUGE slices of pickles. they were so juicy and good. even though you pay for a premium side, I think it's worth it because you get a lot and it's cheaper then getting a whole order. we will definitely be back to try more (the smell of smoked meat when you walk in almost convinced me to try the pulled pork instead 😝). we've convinced both of our families to try Dirty Bird. ...

So a word of warning: The pork tenderloin sandwich comes disassembled. The bun, about 4 inch around, has pickles and lettuce on it. Kinda standard. So, why is't it assembled. Well, the pork tenderloin is an oval, a tad less than a foot by about 7 to 8 inches wide. The onion rings come in a take out container that is full, a meal in themselves. OK, now you know how it comes. How good Is it. As big a taste as the dimensions. The pickles appear to be home made. If they're not, keep that supplier guys. The pork is perfectly breaded and very juicy. So much for my wife's order. I got the chicken, the breading is a little "crisper" than I am used to, however the chicken is juicy and flavorful. I was trying to explain to someone I work with who picked up KFC on their way home that KFC is more expensive. If you just go by the menu, that may be true, however these pieces are easily 30 to 40% bigger and come with fries and a roll. This NEEDS to be at least on your try list. I can't see anyone being disappointed and there is a rumor from a reliable source that the menu may even be expanding a little. This has become our go to.

I really wanted to love my experience but no, it didn’t happen. The service was great but the food, although photogenic, was subpar. The tempura battered onion rings came out hot and fresh. They were super crispy but the batter was heavily salted inconsistently. I am saying inconsistently because I could have just gotten used to the heavy salt because I didn’t notice the salt on latter bites. I had every intention set to love the pork tenderloin sandwich that I split with my husband. It was a huge no. The batter was kind of crispy but under it, it was goopy which took the crispy crunch away. I have never had anything so flavorless and just mouth coating and goopy before. The server said it was supposed to be that way and called it “tender.” There was no meat in a large portion of my half sandwich. Or, maybe there was, there was no real texture other than this heavy and wet batter. The location is a Coke house and the mixture seemed a bit off to me. There were two shiny moments. The Mayo based coleslaw was very good, crispy and sweet. The country gravy that we ordered for the pork was also very good.
