I had come in over the weekend to check this place out. The barista told me my dog was allowed in the shop. I thanked the barista and was on my way. I had just come in to the shop with my dog and the owner’s pit bull came lunging at my dog. Attacking and biting my small dog. When I finally separated the dogs myself a woman came out only to say she didn’t see any scratches on my dog. No apology no remorse. The owner came out to tell me that it was his dog and he never saw her behave in that manner. I have never had a bad experience with a pit bull so I was shocked. After I voiced my concerns a few times and I said how traumatic this was for the 2 of us he finally apologized. Yet no remorse in his tone and no actions to rectify the situation. I would have hoped to see more responsibility and remorse from the attacking party. I would have been more inclined to check out this place another time if the owner took some sort of responsibility for his vicious dog’s attack. I couldn’t go in to get my coffee as I was afraid of the owners dog. So I said out loud we should go to the other coffee shop down the street. The owner rudely stated they were closed on Mondays and slammed the door behind him. Be careful bringing your small dogs into this...
Read moreWhen I walked in there was numerous amounts of flies in the air which I understand can happen with the door opening and closing however the Bristol was sitting in the back on her phone when she could’ve been using the flyswatter in my opinion trying to eliminate that. I come in talking friendly and she didn’t seem of any interest to indulge in conversation when I asked her for a suggestion she had none I went ahead and ordered a Matcha. It wasn’t good it tasted like dirt I asked her for a new drink and she told me that I would have to pay for another one I just think that’s not good business and she wasn’t nice about it especially because I just spent $20 including a four dollar tip another thing is she gave me a cold sandwich but did not give me any instructions on how to use the sandwich press or the microwave I literally got up and had to find a way to warm up my sandwich with no instruction which I thought was kind of rude to. What made me want to come here today because I came here one time and had good customer service and good coffee and dessert but now after this experience I will not...
Read moreThe lady working noon Saturday November 14th is very cold and unwelcoming. Atmosphere felt dead. She made us feel like we were inconveniencing her when we asked her to add more cream to our coffee. The espresso grind was off so it came out burned and tasted bad.
It's disappointing because we met the owner and he is a really great guy and we wanted to go back because of him.
It's amazing how much someone's attitude can affect such an important part of your morning routine. If you lack people skills, or get frustrated over simple requests, I highly suggest not working in a coffee shop.
Your role as a barista is more than just making coffee, especially in a community setting. This is coming from a barista of 10+ years. People in the sunless PNW are dependent on their coffee to get through the day, so being kind at the very least is going to make a...
