A Comforting Hideaway at Dusty's - Where Culinary Delight Meets Exceptional Ambience
Let me start off by saying this - if you haven't been to Dusty's Hideaway yet, you're missing out. It's one of those rare places that manages to blend fantastic food with a uniquely cozy ambiance. Trust me, it's worth a visit.
Perhaps the highlight of my several visits to Dusty's is the Hot Honey Chicken Sandwich. A comforting treat that brings together flavors and textures in the most delightful way. The chicken, oh so crispy and succulent, glazed with a sticky hot honey sauce that's just the right blend of sweet and spicy. Each bite is an adventure, and the explosion of flavors is simply divine. The tangy coleslaw and the house pickles accompanying the sandwich provide a refreshing contrast to the rich, sweet heat of the chicken. It is undeniably one of the best chicken sandwiches I've ever had.
As enticing as the food is, Dusty's Hideaway is not just about what's on your plate. The decor of this place is like a welcoming hug. It's eclectic yet cohesive, filled with charming knickknacks that give it a personality all its own. You can't help but feel cozy and comfortable amidst the rustic woodwork, mismatched furniture, and warm, twinkling lights. It feels like dining in a friend's cherished and well-curated home.
In addition to the welcoming indoor ambiance, Dusty's Hideaway boasts ample outdoor seating that complements the overall charm. This outdoor space offers an intimate, garden-like setting that is perfect for enjoying a meal in the open air, whether under the sun or stars. It adds an additional layer of allure, making it a perfect place for any dining occasion.
The staff is as warm as the atmosphere, providing friendly and attentive service that makes every visit even more pleasant. The commitment to customer satisfaction is evident in their service, making the overall experience at Dusty's an absolute delight.
Dusty's Hideaway is a place that needs to be experienced to be truly appreciated. From the moment you walk in until your very last bite of that amazing Hot Honey Chicken Sandwich, you'll understand why this place has quickly become a favorite among locals and visitors alike. It's more than just a restaurant, it's an experience - one that you will undoubtedly want to revisit time...
Read moreUpdate: when this place first opened the food was amazing, quality has gone down, smaller burgers that look like preformed patties, chicken isn't as good and smaller, etc. Still a great place to grab a couple beers though....Instantly one of my favorite places in all of Tacoma. You'll really dig this place. Pichouli on slow burn. Crazy old lamps and plants all over. Here's the deal. Hand made burgers. Execution is pretty good. The Murf burger had a little less than what I'd hoped for in mushrooms and onions in the steak sauce. Steak sauce isn't overwhelming like A1 in any way and melds in with the mushrooms and onions really well. Ask for a single with extra onions and mushrooms. I'm not a mushrooms and onions guy, but they do it right. Burger wasn't as fresh as something like flipping out's burger or Red wagon's, a hidden gem like The West End bar and grill's Jack Daniels burger or as good as Burger Soel. It's not seared on a flat top like Burger Broiler, But it's affordable and damn tasty. Two people can split this monster delicious burger. It's a pretty solid burger by anyone's account. And I'll be back for it. It's going to be one of my favorites because of the environment alone and especially the staff. None of the other burger place I mentioned have this like this place does. This place makes the East side not have to worry about crossing I5 to claim that we got a funky down to earth spot. Bonfires start at around 9pm, kids out by 10. The two toys they got will buy you enough time to enjoy a beer and burger and feel like you got away to enjoy a good time at someone's backyard party without feeling like you have to work too have a good time. PS.. gotta love the plants and atmosphere and patio situation to understand...
Read moreHad great reviews, drove a bit to get here great np,
Now the burger itself had no or very little flavor, for a 20$ burger hoped their be a tad more, meet itself was the issue. The bun was great, perhaps a bit of color, leads were bit old a dryed, they were not red leaf greens btw.
I sat inside to observe the conduct and quality for the magazine, however my experience was horrible with the behavior of the staff.
Use among staff of the B work and F words. One girl who need fitting cloths, as she would bend over her B.C would show, a total turn off. They were more concerned about aggressively informing customers of the mask policy, but couldn't be bothered of washing their hands from taking plates from one table to bring water glass with their hands wrapped around the rim of glasses where we drink from, just one example, being shoulder to shoulder chatting, their behavior was more comfortable in Ordering customers and being aggressive then even being concerned with their own roles to reduce the spread of covid19.
Therefore I would give the restaurant a 1* due to their double standards in covid19 concerns and practices.
A 3* of actual flavors from two burgers 1* on the wings over cooked and hardly in sauce had to ask for extra dipping three times. This is expected due to cost increases of food, product, but the teaspoon amount tossed with 12 wings was a bit unwarranted.
A 5* (1-5) on the mom and pop feel, looks and ability to handle large crowds.
This review did not make it past my desk, so this is not a reflection on Seattles Best Eats: mom an...
