Let's be frank here.....Starbucks and Dunkin Donuts are overrated and extremely commercialized. Often times smaller, quaint coffee shops are overlooked and I hope the reviews keep coming to make more people aware of this great coffee shop. Also, Red Eye is newly partnered with Capital Regional Medical Center and has a coffee shop on the 2nd floor.
One of the best things about this coffee shop is that it is organic! Another great thing I love about this company is that they support the community. The following information comes directly from their website:
"OUR PROMISE Every time you purchase a RedEye product you are making the world a better place. Our coffee and tea are socially and environmentally responsible, and all our profits go to local and global empowerment charities.
Some examples of RedEye's local and global social impact:
Local Involvement RedEye Coffee is committed to making Tallahassee the best place to live. RedEye helps fill the food gap for seventy-six under-resourced families here in Tallahassee, serves complimentary coffee out of our RedEye Mobile Café supporting community events all over Tallahassee, and sponsors a cycling club fighting childhood obesity. Additionally, through an academic relationship with FSU, RedEye Coffee mentors FSU students from the School of Business in the Social Entrepreneurship program with internships guiding social entrepreneurs of tomorrow on how to successfully plan, start, and run a social enterprise."
Now lets move on to the taste.....AMAZING! You can tell that the quality of the product is high. The taste is very smooth. I have been to other coffee shops where the taste was almost "burnt" or acidic and I never find that in Redeye.
I do wish they had signature drinks and more flavors available but when you are a true coffee drinker, you don't need all of that....you just want it from time to time. The atmosphere is small but quaint. It is quiet and a great place to have a meeting, study, or meet up with friends. I like the fact that it is not over crowded.

Read moreI have had coffee and remembered how good it was but had never been to the establishment. I walk in and noticed 4 people already inside. There is an older gentleman who has apparently already placed his order. Three young adults are at the register placing their order. The young lady at the register keys in one of their phone numbers.,(I guess you can get discounts?) After they place their order they go outside. I am still practicing social distancing so I am standing back from the register. As I wait for her to call me up to take my order, a man walks in and goes straight to the register. The girl behind the counter says to him"I will be right with you." While reading this I have yet to mention being acknowledged. Nota once did she say good morning, not "I will be right with you", no "thank you for being patient" nothing. I was completely ignored. I will not be going back. I only patronize with companies that treat...
Read moreI really like the taste of their coffee here; very smooth and non acidic!
I always order the large cappuccino or latte; however if you like your latte strong, I would recommend ordering an extra shot to make a total of 4 shots in a large coffee.
I also recommend their pumpkin bread if they have it. I found it to be very tasty and not very sweet. The pumpkin muffin with cream cheese was too sweet and heavy for me.
The only reason why I'm knocking a star down is for the lack of staff working here. Everytime we have visited here ( five times so far) there is only one person ringing up the order, making the drinks and handing out the food; which equates to a very long wait.!!
They should have two people working here so one person can dedicate their time to making the drinks only. Especially, since they grind the beans up and make each individual shot to order.
Otherwise, the taste and the quality of the coffee...
