Smokin' Lo's BBQ — Restaurant in Tallahassee

If you’re looking for a restaurant with a terrible owner and bad service this is the place for you. My family and I decided to dine here after hearing good things about their food. Boy were we in for an extremely rude awakening. The line was long, but we did not have any problem waiting. We ordered our food paid $43.00 and then were told to wait. So we waited for about 25 minutes then our name was called. When I finally spoke with the cashier I was told that they no longer had any chicken. This was very odd considering we had just paid and 2/3 of the meals that we ordered were chicken. Also it’s very odd to tell a customer that you don’t have something after they’ve waited for over 25 minutes. So after consulting with my party we decided to change one of the orders to ribs and to get a refund on the other order which was wings. I walked up to the man that had been proudly yelling that’s he’s been doing this for over 20 years and who I assumed was the OWNER. I was very calm and professional during this entire process. I explained the issue to him and was immediately met with hostility. He told me that there was chicken wings and that I was wrong. I told him that this is what I was told by his cashier and he angrily said well I DIDN’T TELL YOU ANYTHING. He starts yelling and talking about me to his employees loud yelling “hurry up and get her out of here”!! He appeared so angry I was in fear that he wanted to start an altercation!! He then rushes and miraculously he now has chicken and fixes our plate. We were given our food with an attitude and it was not even correct. EVERY SINGLE side was missing and the flavors for my wings were incorrect. We didn’t want anything special but to pay for the food and to receive the food we ordered. Instead we received rude customer service after the restaurant made a mistake in taking orders without checking their inventory. Mr. Lo it is not your customer’s responsibility to know your inventory but is your cashier’s responsibility to know and it’s even more YOUR responsibility to tell them so that this type of situation does not occur. I cannot believe this was the experience that my family and I received from this establishment! Ultimately we decided the best option was to get a refund. Smokin Lo’s was very unprofessional and the way everything was handled was extremely inappropriate. I will be sure to tell people to never dine at...

Let me tell you guys about this little food truck/pit...it's Red and you can see it from the road

I've been here before and I always get the ribs with honey barbecue sauce. And I always get something sweet no matter what it is it's always amazing,!

Today I decided to try their sides... Macaroni and cheese to be exact.

Apparently the macaroni and cheese is higher in price than their other side which I did not know until I got ready to pay. It might have said it on their menu which was posted on the front of it but it was typed out very small so maybe I just didn't see it 🤦🏽‍♀️

So I wind up getting two rib dinners for me and my daughter which came with two sides we decided on double macaroni and cheese...(remember I told you there was an upcharge for the Mac)

I was expecting my bill to be around $29 but I was shocked when she said 39$! So I said this must be some good macaroni and cheese! You know for that price

Let me just say this.. if you're going to get any sides definitely DON'T get the macaroni and cheese. If you are expecting homemade authentic macaroni and cheese it just was not giving that.😔 ESPECIALLY FOR THE PRICE! IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN THE SAME PRICE AS EVERYTHING ELSE IT WAS NOTHING REALLY SPECIAL ABOUT IT THE PORTION SIZE WAS EVEN SMALL.

I also got the banana pudding and a slice of strawberry cake! Like I said the sweets are always amazing almost better than the ribs 😆

But this is a special place I think next time I'm going to try the chicken or maybe even a mullet sandwich 🤔

I think this place is definitely worth a try 🧡 I gave this place three stars but I would have gladly given it five stars if the macaroni and cheese tasted...

I have been wanting to try Smokin’ Lo’s BBQ for awhile now & let me tell you…The food is AMAZING! My dad has been telling me about how tender & delicious their ribs are & he wasn’t lying! The best ribs I’ve had in a long time! Oh & don’t forget to add on dessert. I had a slice of the pound cake & baby listen, it didn’t even make it to my house. The pound cake was so moist & good that I ate it in my car! The portion sizes are great too & for a good price. I shared my plate with my family & still had plenty left for myself. Hands down, the BEST pound cake I have ever tasted. Everything just was great. The owner was very courteous & nice. He even had his son helping out a little bit so I love how family owned & operated it is. I will be back again, probably again tomorrow because the food was just that good!!! 10/10! I can definitely see this food truck being a restaurant one day because the food...
