I was there during the time Tiffany Smalec describes in her negative review. I was right behind them and I was the only one waiting. I completely disagree with her. Julia asked her several times what she wanted but Tiffany couldn't take her eyes off the phone to look up and didn't answer. Her boyfriend must be a personal trainer or into working out. It was also clear that he and Julia are previously acquainted. He was asking Julia how he could help her at the gym. Julia is starting EMT courses and is interested in strength training to be able to lift people as an EMT. There was no flirting or inappropriate conversation from either one of them. Just two professionals doing their jobs. Seems like Tiffany is waving her jealous red flag!
Hope and Coffee opened just after I moved to Tamaqua. I've been going there for years. Everyone that works there has always been awesome and friendly. It's the first place that I got to know anyone in town. They really get to know people. Regardless of whether you're a regular or not, THEY ARE KIND TO EVERYONE. I've never seen them ignore anyone. They know my children's names. I even take my dogs to visit. In fact, I took a latte with me to my doctor's appointment yesterday morning and the nurse was saying how much she loves it there too! I work from home and have two little kids so some days Julia & Leah are the only adults I talk to! Oh, and the drinks and food are great too! Definitely made with love!
I don't know if this girl was having a bad day on top of being a jealous person, but her review is ridiculous! It's damaging to leave bad reviews for anyone or anything, but it's even worse to leave a bad review for a small business in a small town that is trying to do good for the community! All because she couldn't be bothered to get off her phone to order and is a...
Read moreBeing from out of town, and staying in town for 10 days I had to find a place to get coffee. Hope and coffee came up in my search. Let me start off by saying the owners did a wonderful job of fixing the place up! The wooden floor is a jem! And to think it was cover with carpet!! The service.... it was second to none! The one lady (glasses) knew what she was doing running the coffee machines! Great lady, friendly, smiled, and was very knowledgeable of her job. The coffee was amazing, along with the iced coffee and Frappuccino! My daughters loved them! Also, they have amazing breakfast sandwiches! I personally got the egg, cheese, and bacon on a everything bagel! In addition, they had a couple musicians playing, which gave the place a charm! We stayed 10 days and had coffee at Hope and Coffee 7. The other days were closed or we would have stopped by again! If you are a coffee conosiour, I highly recommend...
Read moreWhat a truly welcoming and gorgeous coffee shop! Very spacious, very clean, and so nicely decorated. Above all though, is the service. The staff are so thoughtful and kind, and it really shows how much they enjoy their jobs. I went in to this place during a very hard time in my life when I had to give up coffee and caffiene and the girls there were able to make me an iced chamomile tea that I now love and look forward to. The people that frequent this place are also genuinely good and kind individuals, and my partner and I really enjoyed the atmosphere. I think it is such a beautiful thing to have this wonderful coffee shop here in Tamaqua, that not only makes great beverages and food, but advocates so strongly and compassionately for mental health and recovery. What a sense of community! We NEED a place like...
