Here’s my honest rating: ★★★☆☆ (3/5)
I visited this bowling alley at Southgate and University Drive on December 17 after 3:30 PM, as I promised my 5-year-old that we would go bowling after school.
She ended up playing two games ($7.49 each) and I rented shoes for $5.99. I also purchased a $50 gift card for the arcade so she could play there while Hanging out with my daughter. The next day, December 18, after school, I returned with her just for the arcade.
I inquired about hosting a gathering for 15 people on December 29 after 6:30 PM. A sales lady called me while I was at the bowling alley and explained the different packages available. She mentioned she would email me the details, but I hadn't checked my email yet. She called me again on Friday, December 20, to follow up and see if I had checked it or if I was still planning the event for December 29.
I informed her that due to the holiday season, we would likely reschedule for the end of February 2025. I promised to give her an answer by mid to late January 2025, and she said she would follow up with me on January 15, 2025.
A few days ago, I made plans with friends and their kids to meet up on December 23 after 7 PM for bowling. We were excited about the unlimited bowling and shoe rental for $19.99, as advertised on the wall near the restrooms. However, I was informed by a staff member on December 18 that this deal didn't apply on Fridays and Saturdays. That shy I decided to come on a Monday December 23rd.
When we arrived on December 23, the person at the counter, who was wearing a dolphin hat, informed us that, due to the holiday season, pricing had changed to $11.49 per game and $5.99 for shoe rentals. This felt unfair, as there was no mention of holiday exceptions on the signage. It’s disappointing when businesses advertise one thing but change the rules without clear communication.
We had planned to order cheese pizza and drinks for the kids, but since the bowling cost had risen to $62 for four games and two shoe rentals for each group, we decided against ordering any food or drinks.
While the bowling itself was fun and the kids enjoyed it, one of the kids' lanes stopped working during the last game, which was frustrating. We stayed from 7:30 PM to 9:30 PM but did not get the full experience we were hoping for.
Will I return in 2025? That depends on the deals they’re offering and whether they improve their communication. I have even received online sales calls urging me to book an event for late February 2025, but I’m hesitant to commit after this experience.
Overall, while the bowling was enjoyable, the pricing discrepancy and lane issues made it a less-than-ideal visit. Next, we're planning for mini-golf, but I need to get a clear answer about...
Read moreBeen coming to this Bowlero in Coral Springs near Southgate for years, and usually, it’s the same fun experience you’d expect at a bowling alley. But this time, things went downhill when it came to ordering food and drinks. I came with 5 friends and wanted to order something simple for everyone: the Alley Sampler (around $36.99), a pizza, and a pitcher of margaritas (about $25, according to our server Brendan). I even repeated the order back to make sure it was correct, and all of us heard him say it was a combo deal. When the bill came, it was over $80, which didn’t make sense. After looking closely, I saw they charged the pizza separately ($15) AND added a “pitcher premium,” making it more than $50 instead of the $25 we were told. The margarita itself wasn’t even good, it tasted like watered down lime and alcohol with no passion fruit flavor at all. When we questioned it, Brendan admitted to us that he lied, apologized, and said the manager would fix it. But instead of correcting the bill to match what we were told, they only took $5 off. To make matters worse, the manager with the other staff members tried to make it seem like we were the ones who misunderstood despite all six of us clearly hearing the same thing. It’s one thing if there’s a miscommunication and the restaurant works to make it right, but it’s another to admit to lying and then barely compensate the customer. That’s unacceptable. This used to be my childhood favorite place to bowl, but now it feels like a business that overcharges and doesn’t value honesty. Please, think twice before coming here unless you want to overpay...
Read moreGood place to go and bowl, multiple lanes so you don't have to wait too long for a lane on busy days which are the weekend, and the days that they offer unlimited bowling , the place is very nice you would not be able to tell from the outside since it just looks as a simple establishment, but once you go inside you are mind blown , it has a decent area for arcades in case you don't want to bowl but instead play some video games, it also has a few pool tables, a full size bar and a place you can order food, the lanes themselves are on perfect shape and all of them have giant t.v playing sport or other thing on them , music is a good ambiance, would definitely give it a 5 star but we have gone multiple times and the last time we went it was on a weekday at around 4pm the place was pretty much empty so we basically had the spot all for ourselves, we decided to play two games of bowling and at the same time order some wings and drinks. Well we got thru the whole first game ...and almost all the second game and the food never came we had to chase down the waiter and ask him about our food.... he went to look for it and 10 mins later finally came with our food. Took a total of 45 mins to get our food! And we were the only ones ordering food the worse part was the automatically charge your for tips, now I have no problem at tipping I love good service and it gets a good reward but when the service is so bad it's frustrating. Anyway learn my lesson from now on will not be ordering from there and if we do, we will personally get up and go get it ourselves. But to bowl the place it's...
