Big John's Alabama BBQ promises an authentic taste of the South with its hearty offerings. Recently, I had the pleasure of sampling their renowned pork ribs and my girlfriend had the BBQ chicken sandwich, and I must say, it was a culinary experience worth raving about. Let's start with the stars of the show: the pork ribs. Tender and succulent, they were some of the best I've ever had the pleasure of sinking my teeth into. The meat practically fell off the bone, each bite bursting with a perfect balance of smoky goodness and robust seasoning. Big John's mastery of smoke infusion truly shines through in these ribs, delivering an unforgettable flavor that lingers long after the last bite.Equally impressive was the BBQ chicken sandwich. Stacked generously with tender pulled chicken smothered in their signature BBQ sauce, it was a delightful contrast to the ribs. The sauce was tangy yet sweet, complementing the savory chicken perfectly. Service at Big John's was prompt , adding to the overall positive experience. The staff was attentive and very knowledgeable about their menu options. The ambiance inside the restaurant is cozy and welcoming, with rustic décor that sets the stage for a genuine BBQ feast. Whether you're dining solo, with family, or catching up with friends, Big John's provides a relaxed setting that enhances the enjoyment of their delicious fare. My visit to Big John's Alabama BBQ left a lasting impression. From the exceptional pork ribs to the mouthwatering BBQ chicken sandwich, every dish I seen came out showcased their dedication to authentic Southern flavors. I can confidently say that I will be returning to Big John's to indulge in their BBQ delights again and again. If you're craving a taste outstanding BBQ, look no further than Big John's Alabama BBQ.    Read moreI went to Big John's Alabama BBQ on a whim. My hunger had risen to the level of inconsolable, and Big John's stood out like a light on a distant shore. From the second I stepped foot in this establishment, I knew I was in for something that would fill my belly with not just flavor, but passion and love for the food itself. I ordered the pork plate with baked beans and corn. I was served within the time it took to blink twice and get my water. My first bite is difficult to put into words. The pork was cooked perfectly; not too wet and not too dry. Smoked just right. The chopped pieces held their own, and had substance. The baked beans tasted like a golden breakfast of maple syrup and brown sugar. As they touched my tongue, memories of my grandmother's kitchen on a Sunday morning flooded my thoughts. I would have been brought to tears if it were not for the sheer hunger I was trying to suffice. At the end, I was content and impressed. I debated about a dessert, and settled on a slice of sweet potato pie and pound cake, and I have never made a better decision. Both melted in my mouth without so much as the flex of my jaw. I left Big John's with a full belly, a satisfied craving, and the pure spirit of a place that puts work into their...
Read moreMeat was very dry today 9/25/21. Got a pound of beef (extremely dry) and white meat chicken(very dry). Couldnât even eat the meat without the sauce because it was so dry. Cake was extremely dry and stale ( I got the red velvet cake). Greens always taste like theyâre cooked with too much water. Mac n cheese is always bland and tasted like leftovers. Very mushy with no freshness to it at all. Baked beans and potato salad are always good. Meat seams to be hit or miss and really depends on whose making it. I notice when the owner Corey makes it itâs always fresh and juicy. I noticed different people on the grill today. I also had to choose two different meats with my family meal and was told I could not get two of the same (chicken and chicken for example), which I was a little irritated by because my family doesnât eat beef or pork. Rules are rules but I think a little more accommodation is needed as it pertains to the menu, especially when paying $40+. Most restaurants would allow the same meats with no problem. Iâve been coming here for years and overall theyâre good , but the quality of food has taken a big dip. This place definitely needs a little tweaking in my opinion with customer service, accommodating customers and better...
